64 Nabbed in Ketamine and Vape Party Raid at Popular Sungai Kolok Resort, Narathiwat
Picture courtesy of Kaoded. A police and local administration operation has resulted in the arrest of 64 young men and women caught red-handed at a drug-fuelled party in a well-known resort in Sungai Kolok district, Narathiwat. Acting on directives from Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, who has declared the fight against drug abuse a national emergency, local authorities, led by Mr Supiyan Daemaoling, District Chief of Sungai Kolok, carried out the coordinated raid with assistance from special operations volunteers, local administrative officers, and police from Sungai Kolok Police Station. The operation targeted four resort villas in Tambon Sungai Kolok. Authorities were tipped off about large gatherings involving illegal drug use and loud music. Upon arrival, they discovered groups of young people partying in an intoxicated state with loud music blaring from inside the premises. During the search, officers found 31.3 grams of ketamine and a number of electronic cigarettes. All 64 individuals were taken into custody and transported to Sungai Kolok Police Station for drug testing and further legal proceedings. The crackdown underscores the government’s intensified campaign to tackle both small- and large-scale drug trafficking networks. Provincial authorities have been instructed to prioritise such operations as part of an urgent national policy initiative. Further investigations are underway to trace the source of the drugs and determine whether any of the individuals are connected to wider distribution networks. -- 2025-04-11 -

Nurse Suspended After Refusing to Use Preferred Pronouns for Transgender Sex Offender
You know little about it. Medicine is chocka with people judging others. They just don't normally do so within the hearing of the judged. I experienced a case where an abused child came onto the ward and all the female staff decided the father did it because he looked unusual, but it wasn't him doing the abuse- it was the mother. -

Shake it...!!!
Dear Folks, Whatever happened to the Tina we once loved? Did she try to push the envelope so hard that she became a caricature of her good self? Has great music become less music and more show for those who do not really care that much about music? Tina once had Taste. But, now? How did she fall prey to whatever she fell prey to.....? PTSD....maybe? Just wondering.... Regards,.... Note: We remember when she was .....GREAT...... -

What would it actually take to elevate Thailand?
There biggest move so far was legalizing weed and eatables. But that only served to attract high flying THC addicts .. it did not send Thailand flying high. In fact it lowered it a peg or two in attracting a whole new class of hang abouts and lazy do nothings. -

Motorcyclist Killed After Crashing Into Power Pole on Notorious Pattaya Curve
Picture from responders. A fatal road crash occurred late night on 9 April, when a motorcyclist lost control and crashed into an electricity pole on Pattanakarn Road near Wat Khao Sao Thong Thong in Nong Prue, Bang Lamung district, Chonburi. The incident has once again raised concerns among local residents, who are urging authorities to install clear warning signs at what they describe as a “cursed curve” known for repeated deadly crashes. Rescue personnel from Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation were dispatched following a report to their radio centre at 21:45. Pol. Sub-Lt. Sanya Jaichan, deputy investigator at Nong Prue Police Station, also responded to the scene. Upon arrival, emergency responders found a man, estimated to be between 25 and 35 years old, lying in a pool of blood at the base of the pole. He was dressed in a black t-shirt and long denim jeans but carried no identification. The man had suffered head injuries and a broken neck and was in critical condition. Despite attempts to resuscitate him, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after. Near the body, officers discovered a severely damaged grey Honda Forza motorbike bearing a red temporary registration plate (Sriracha Police Station). Eyewitnesses from the nearby community reported that the motorcyclist was travelling at high speed when he lost control navigating the bend and struck the power pole with significant force. Locals added that the curve has long had a deadly reputation, having claimed numerous lives and left many injured over the years. They said repeated requests have been made to authorities for warning signs or safety improvements, but no action has yet been taken. Pol. Sub-Lt. Sanya stated that CCTV footage from the surrounding area will be reviewed to determine the exact cause of the crash. The deceased has been transported to a local hospital morgue where authorities await contact from family members to claim the body. Residents continue to call for urgent safety measures to prevent further tragedies at this dangerous bend. -- 2025-04-11
