Ten people have sustained injuries after a bus from Bangkok heading to Hat Yai that was carrying 30 passengers crashed in Songkhla.

 

The Rattaphum Police were notified of the accident on Tuesday morning (May 23rd) on the Asia Road in the Kamphaengphet sub-district, Rattaphum district.

 

Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find the bus on the road side. Ten injured people were found inside the bus. One of the injured was a woman who had broken her leg. They were all taken to nearby hospitals.

Mr. Sawas Srusen, 49, told Thai media, “I was sleeping while the second driver was driving the bus. The second driver told me that he was trying to pickup a mobile phone he dropped before he lost control of the bus.”

Why did he even need his dropped mobile phone while he was driving? And to drop it he must have been using it anyway. But we'll never read any follow-up will we, about the driver or whether the company is fined.
