Tony Otto
does anybody know where I can buy a goat to keep my grass and weeds down? I’m not sure what type of golf would be the best for that so if somebody can shed some light, that would be awesome as well I live near Sukhothai. Thanks for any help, Cheers
Kwasaki
I think they eat everything not just grass. Geese are supposed to be OK. ???? Edited May 30, 2023 by Kwasaki 1
Cake Monster
Geese are also extremely good at guarding their property. Better than any Dog
MJCM
I would ask a neighbor (farmer) who has cows to the cut the grass to feed his cows. He will be more then happy especially during rice planting season as then the cows are stuck inside

Captain Monday
In the 1970s we had rental goats but in a rural area there should be a livestock auction.
swissie
Goats are "foragers". They prefer leaves, not grass. Sheep are "grazers" not liking leaves much. Conclusion: You need Goats as well as Sheep. How many? Depends on the size of your property.

Having the choice they still prefer leaves.
jak2002003
To keep grass down you need sheep...not goats. Goats are browsers not grazers. With sheep you will need to have someone trim off their wool at regular intervals. I would not get geese....they are very noisy and also leave feathers and sloppy stinking poop everywhere. You know the ones where you buy pellet food from a coin operated dispenser and feed them , and everyone was feeding them . If I had known that when I was a kid I would have claimed that the goat ate my homework ????
grain
I got a goat once years ago for the same reason...to eat the grass...it also ate some of the washing on the line.

Geese and ducks leave huge amounts of sloppy wet poops that really stink.
