immigration closed on day tourest visa expires

If your tourest visa expires on monday when the changwattana is closed, can you instead apply for the extension tuesday and gain a day?  or do you have to doit on Friday and loose 2 days

Yeah day after is fine, but I don't think you lose if you do it early?

OP, you don't loose any days by applying early .

The 30 day extension starts from expiry of your current permission of stay.

 

Actually bit silly to do it on last day.

Do it week or two early.

You gain or lose nothing, as the extension starts from the day your permission to stay expires. If possible, go before.

Everybody is correct about applying early and that’s not me. Really lazy because I have nothing but time. So for sure you can go the next open day. Now they know me but I was 3 days late and they still gave me a pass. Just be very polite and own your mistake. But better to apply early.

The io should have fined you 1500baht for 3 day overstay.

The extesion starts on the day it was due to expire, not the day you receive the extension. ..

Dr. Jack, with respect I did not give advice to overstay, just cited a situation I personally experienced because it was unusual. I know the overstay fine. My advice was in my recommendation to apply early. I also pleaded guilty to being lazy not to being stupid.

Well as have I a few times as well. I guess saying apply early twice wasn’t enough for the Dr.
