Intoxicated Monks Defrocked in Nong Bua Lamphu

Nong Bua Lamphu, northeast Thailand-Intoxicated monks in Mueang Nong Bua Lamphu tested positive with up to 300 milligrams percent of alcohol and have been defrocked. The monks allegedly also sold without permission many items belonging to the temple.


The Mueang Nong Bua Lamphu Police were notified of the drunk monks from concerned local residents on Tuesday (May 30th). Monks in a temple on the Wang Muean – Nonsang Road in the Nong Bua sub-district were reportedly drinking alcohol inside the temple. Police, along with 20 angry and frustrated local residents, went to the temple. At the time of the visit, there were in total three monks at the temple.

 

The two younger monks, one identified only as Jakkapong, tested positive with 202 milligrams percent of alcohol and the second monk, identified only as Adul, tested positive with 320 milligrams percent of alcohol.

300 mg!! (6 times the maximum for DUI).

Only hardened alcoholics can reach that without falling into coma.

Excellent news. Anytime a drunkard monk, or a corrupt monk is removed, it is a good thing. 

 

Now, it is time to go after the more senior drunk and curruot abotts.

Why is this even news Meh they'll be back donating money soon and giving Alms to them AND cooking for them. Same everywhere, they are lazy and do no work apart from a bit of gardening.  funded by the government tax payers money.
