A NAVY SEAL unit together with some army officers raided a medium-size fishing boat not far from Koh Samet, Rayong province, and seized 909 kilogrammes of crystal methamphetamine (Ice) just as the vessel was heading to transfer the drug to a large ocean liner believed to then take it to Australia, TV Channel 7 said.

A tragic incident occurred in Ban Nonsuan, Warinchamrab District, Ubon Ratchathani Province, Thailand. The local police officer on duty, Pol. Lt. Pira Chaihirak, received a report of a train colliding with a pedestrian on the train tracks. The victim, identified as Mr. Buntam Bunsawan, a 44-year-old resident of Ban Nonsuan, was under the influence of alcohol when he climbed onto the tracks.

A heated argument at a Laab restaurant in Chon Buri Province ended with deadly consequences, as a Thai bus driver fatally shot his 36 year old girlfriend, an employee at the establishment, before attempting to take his own life. However, the 42 year old attacker survived, receiving serious injuries and is currently in a coma.

A 51 year old Thai bank employee was arrested for allegedly shooting at a popular YouTuber’s car after consuming six cans of beer. Police apprehended the suspect at the junction of Chaturathit and Phra Ram 9 roads in Bangkok, seizing a 9mm pistol and nearly 30 rounds of ammunition.

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) is exploring the possibility of implementing a central kitchen system, similar to the one used in Japan, to enhance the quality of school lunches in Thailand. The central kitchen concept was introduced by Nobuko Tanaka, a former Japanese school lunch specialist, during a recent seminar in Bangkok, Bangkok Post reported.
