Popular Post harleyclarkey Posted June 8, 2023 Popular Post Posted June 8, 2023 The BIB will probably pay more attention to the overstay! Thailand, unfortunately, attracts more than its fair share of downright violent criminals. The love affair with Russians and especially the Chinese does not bode well for the future. The Chinese throughout the world have a seemingly unbridled sense of entitlement with little or no fear of consequences. 13 1 4 2 2

I guess charging him with overstay initially means, that they can detain him (fairly indefinitely), control who visits him, and make their investigation in the murder without having to worry that he will be gone without a trace. Normally I would also assume, that they would want to find out, how substantial his bank balance in conjuntion with his friendliness is, but as they have already giving a press conference, he seemingly was indeed not "cooperative". 7
Dukeleto Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 See. I told you it would not be long. If he is indeed the perp then some solid work by the bib. 2

But I am OK with holding him in prison until he sings like a bird - few months in a thai pesthole prison and he may well have a different attitude 2
riverhigh Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 If the kazakhstan suspect is the shooter it won't take the Thai police long to connect the dots. Pure arrogrance and stupidity if the dots are connected. Daylight shooting, overstay visa, flight to Russia .... 1

Popular Post ezzra Posted June 8, 2023 Popular Post Posted June 8, 2023 Just come to illustrate how easy it is for a foreigner to get a gun and go on trying to murder someone and hoping to get away with it, I guess with the proliferation of hundreds of thousands of Russians and other European people in Thailand make it ever so easy to commit a crime, which is a big, added headaches for the poorly equipped local police. 3 1
ChipButty Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 Overstay is nothing no doubt he can pay that, They all say that I dont speak English, he will just sit there and say no comment

They have been surprisingly fast in arresting the culprit . Of course , Thailand is attractive to many people , bad ones as well ... But , up to now , I do not have the impression that the RTP is overwhelmed and unable to handle this ... Corruption always was a traditional part of Thai society , and that is what enabled the existence of those Chinese " Clubs " . But if they bribe one but not the other one , it means trouble , too ... 2

This doesn't show at all how easy it is to get a gun. 2 1

I think the windshield may have something to do with the job not being done. The guy could have been shooting military full metal jacket bullets that are not that effective as soft points or hollow point projectiles.
