webfact
On June 15, Lieutenant Colonel Nattawut Ongart, the investigating officer from the Chulalongkorn Police Station, received a report of an incident inside a cosmetic surgery clinic located in Rattanakosin 200 Pee Village, Pathum Thani Province. He immediately proceeded to the scene along with Captain Apichat Thongpha, the supervising officer of Chulalongkorn Police Station, and Captain Saiton Sinta, a detective from the investigative team, as well as medical staff from the Prachathipat Hospital and representatives from a charity organization. Upon arrival, numerous individuals were found present inside the clinic, with one female fatality discovered in the lower surgical area. The deceased was identified as Ms. Sirinya (surname withheld), 25 years old. During the questioning of Ms. Napaporn (surname withheld), a 29-year-old individual, she revealed that she had brought the deceased to the clinic at around 10:00 AM. She proceeded to complete the necessary paperwork while the victim informed her that she would wait at home, reported Siam Rath. The nasal surgery was expected to take several hours, starting from around 11:00 AM and ending before 3:00 PM. Ms. Napaporn had messaged the victim on LINE but received no response. Concerned, she returned to the clinic and discovered that rescue personnel were administering resuscitation measures. She immediately approached the clinic staff for information and was informed that her partner had been under anesthesia and undergoing surgery. However, the victim's body temperature had risen abnormally before her heart stopped beating, prompting the intervention of the rescue team. This was the victim's first visit to this particular clinic. Picture: Siam Rath According to the deceased's aunt, her niece worked as an assistant at a car dealership owned by the deceased herself. The victim had sought nasal correction surgery after a previous procedure had resulted in complications. She found the clinic through a Google search and decided to have the silicone implant removed. Unfortunately, she passed away before the surgery could be completed. Lieutenant Colonel Nattawut Ongart, after inspecting the scene, documented the evidence and arranged for the body of the deceased to be transported to Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital for further examination. Please note that this article is based on preliminary information, and further updates from official sources are awaited to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the incident. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2023-06-16 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. Popular Post KhunBENQ
They are doing anesthesia in those glitzy shopping center clinics. Would I believe they have a qualified/experienced anesthetist on site? Anesthesia is not child's play. Popular Post TheFishman1
I would never go under unless I was that a real hospital at the hospital. They have many techniques that they can bring you out of it in an instant these clinics that use it do not have the means to do what a hospital can do. snoop1130
Beauty clinic closed for 30 days after customer dies during cosmetic surgery The Pathum Thani provincial health office ordered a beauty clinic in Thanyaburi district closed for 30 days today (Friday), after a 25-year-old customer died as she was undergoing a rhinoplasty procedure yesterday. The health office said that the clinic has a license, but it had not sought permission for an expansion to provide plastic surgery services. It also said that the doctor, who performed the nose surgery on the customer, and the anaesthetist have professional licenses, but neither of them had registered as doctors at the clinic. chalawaan
She probably had a perfectly acceptable cute little button nose but wanted a western bridge, then that went wrong, and here we are, dead in her mid twenties, a tragic outcome for a warped sense of beauty nature didn't intend. RIP.

The first question to always ask in these kinds of cosmetic surgery gone bad cases is did the clinic where the mishap occurred have the proper license to be performing the kind of surgery that was done. And more often than not, the places that crop up in these kinds of news reports turn out to NOT be licensed for the procedure that resulted in the mishap, as apparently was the case here. "The health office said that the clinic has a license, but it had not sought permission for an expansion to provide plastic surgery services." In other words, they probably weren't licensed to be performing surgical procedures of the type that resulted in the fatality of the woman here. From past news reports of this type, Thailand seems to be awash with storefront cosmetic clinics that end up offering medical and/or surgical procedures without all the legally required elements in place.
