The Thai ETA (Electronic System for Travel Authorisation)
I don't use Singapore Airlines. The self check in issue only arises when I travel alone with no visa requirement. Most of the time either myself or my wife has a visa check. When they try and make me go to a machine I just say I want to go to the desk and they say Very well Sir. I have yet to see a machine without a bunch of exciteable foreigners like flies around the proverbial. I will be pushing up daisies long before there is no check in desk available. -

Why should they cover the damage, as i was no fault of Neta. She had an accident, so it's claimed on her accident insurance. -

Pattaya Bar/Go-Go Death Watch
This particular bar writes the name you give on the checkbin and as you order more, staple additional bins to it, so that at the end all your bills are attached with your name on it. Then when totalled up she asks you to confirm the name when presenting it to you for payment. I get your points but I'm supposing it's just a cross-check for the staff when the bar's busy, or you stay across shifts. As for your "spirit of Pattaya" comment, that I do not get but given the emoji, am assuming a joke. -

She is a tax resident. If the money isn't classified as a gift it is tax assessable. They may connect the dots too since you aren't remitting funds any other way so are living off money sent to her. Not sure though. But I'd guess she'd need to declare that remittance and have it tax assessed -

Why is Trump Really Running for Office Again?
"Data released by the Census Bureau today show that 2019 was a historic year for raising Americans’ living standards. Real median household income reached a record high, and poverty reached a record low. Improvements in income and poverty were the largest in over 50 years. Minority groups—including black, Hispanic and Asian Americans—experienced the largest gains." Incomes Hit a Record High and Poverty Reached a Record Low in 2019 – The White House (archives.gov) -

Either you don't understand how tax works in other countries or maybe wherever you come from it's different. Where I come from, you don't get anything for the tax you pay, except whatever they choose to spend it on, which is (hopefully) for the good of the public, rather than lavish parties and war. Social security payments are separate from tax - you pay those if you are working usually - and you get benefits, such as healthcare and pension. Thailand is the same, pretty much.- 1
