Liberal SNL takes swipe at ABC’s biased presidential debate in cold open: Duh
This is just more Trump apologists playing the blame game. Trump is always the victim. If he felt like he won that debate then he would've been praising ABC. He's so predictable though. Always losing. Nobody does it better than he. -

BREAKING NEWS IRAN ATTACKS ISRAEL
095bc0042d2bd01908a90731f2d41589.mp4 Israel's defence system stood firm on Tuesday night as Iran unleashed a barrage of nearly 200 missiles across the country, sparking fears from world leaders that the escalation could plunge the Middle East into an all-out war. Iran launched multiple waves of missiles targeting Jerusalem and Tel Aviv in retaliation for Israel's recent military actions against Hezbollah in Lebanon, including the assassination of its leader the previous week. Air raid sirens blared as 181 missiles were fired toward Israel, with several rockets bursting into bright orange flames near Tel Aviv as they were intercepted by Israel's 'Iron Dome' defense system. The missiles, ordered by Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, streaked across the night sky like comets as they were destroyed mid-flight. The attack, which Israel vowed to retaliate against, caused panic as civilians took shelter from falling debris. Chunks of molten metal crashed to the ground, though the offensive was hailed as 'heroic' by Hamas. This marks a significant escalation in the conflict, with the scale of the attack being 'twice the size' of a similar Iranian bombardment in April, involving more than 170 drones and 120 ballistic missiles. In a setback for Iran, the U.S. declared the missile barrage "defeated and ineffective," resulting in just one reported fatality: a Palestinian man in the West Bank, who was killed by shrapnel. -

Israel Hamas War the Widening Middle East Conflict
It looks like Kabuki theater to me. Iran seems to have been targeting their missiles near population centers, but not directly at the cities. Iron Dome seems to have ignored missiles not headed towards cities. I am puzzled why the Iranian missiles were flaming just before impact. -

Jon Stewart Calls Out Trump Supporters’ ‘Bizarro’ Portrayal of Former President.
And the drug epidemic? Only a small portion of the homeless are mentally ill. Reagan closed them after the liberals complained and cried about keeping them locked up. It’s unconstitutional. The rest are just lazy or drug addicted that don’t want to work for “the man”. They prefer the homeless lifestyle. Most refuse help. Try going up to any cardboard sign holding bum on the street corner. Offer them work. No thanks, they just want money.- 1

Pattaya Check Safety Measures on Walking Street Entertainment Venues Ahead of High Season
Local authorities in Pattaya, led by Mr. Weekit Manarojkit, District Chief of Banglamung, and Mr. Poramet Ngampichet, Mayor of Pattaya, along with municipal safety officials, conducted a thorough inspection of entertainment venues along Walking Street in South Pattaya, on the evening of October 1. The inspection aimed to enhance safety standards and prevent potential fire hazards as the city prepares to welcome an influx of tourists during the upcoming high season. The inspection focused primarily on fire escape routes and firefighting equipment installed by venue operators. Authorities confirmed that the establishments had appropriately placed fire extinguishers and clearly marked emergency exits for tourists. The team also reminded venue managers to regularly inspect fire extinguishers and smoke alarms and to train staff on evacuation procedures in case of a fire. Mayor Poramet Ngampichet emphasized the importance of fire safety, especially as the high season approaches. "Pattaya City is working in coordination with the Banglamung District and other departments, including the building control office, to ensure that entertainment venues comply with safety standards. Our primary concern is fire safety, with a focus on accessible emergency exits and functional firefighting equipment. These measures are crucial in protecting both lives and property should an emergency occur," the mayor stated. Mr. Weekit Manarojkit, District Chief of Banglamung, highlighted the growing number of tourists expected to visit Pattaya in the coming months, particularly to popular areas like Walking Street. "This inspection, in collaboration with the mayor, aims to reassure visitors that our entertainment venues are fully prepared and safe. With fire exits, clear signage, and alarm systems in place, tourists can feel confident that their safety is a top priority," he added. The inspection is part of a broader effort by Pattaya City to ensure the safety and well-being of both local residents and tourists as the high season approaches. -- 2024-10-02 -

The Decline of the United Nations: A Toothless Global Forum
The UN was supposed to stop conflicts happening, not paper over the cracks after it happens. I wonder if the UN members had known what the consequences of the vote in 1947 re israel would be, if they would have voted yes. Had they voted no, we would have been saved from a lot of death, destruction and loss of treasure ever since. -
