Popular Post webfact Posted July 17, 2023 Popular Post Posted July 17, 2023 A senator has accused 2 netizens of “bullying” him online and threatened them with a defamation lawsuit. The move follows last Thursday’s parliamentary vote, in which the Move Forward leader Pita Limjaroenrat failed in his PM bid. Out of 249 senators, only 13 voted for Pita, with 34 voting against him and 159 abstained. There were 43 senators who didn’t even show up. So some younger, online-savvy supporters of the 8-party coalition, including Move Forward, have turned their attention to the Senators and targeting them online. Angry MFP supporters have been venting their frustration online, using the hashtag #senatorsbusiness to call for a boycott of businesses owned by senators who voted against Pita, abstained, or failed to show. #senatemistresses was also trending with angry netizens deciding to ‘out’ some of the Senators and their extra-marital affairs. JayClay Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 I'm not quite sure what trap MF are trying to lay for these senetors, and whether or not it will ultimately work out in the end. But you have to assume that this is exactly the reaction that they were trying to provoke. 1 1

Some much more important things must have mixed up their schedules instead voting for or against the next Prime minister: Mia nois demanding a new Gucci bag or an auction of used Rolexes. 4 2 4
Popular Post mark131v Posted July 17, 2023 Popular Post Posted July 17, 2023 They are scum, they are the very thing that is holding the country back, they should be outed and investigated and when they are discovered prosecuted for treason and punished to the full extent of the law. Nah sod that they should have some new punishment put onto the books for them because their behaviour is beyond the pale... 12 3
Popular Post fusion58 Posted July 17, 2023 Popular Post Posted July 17, 2023 Man, imagine being so entitled that accountability and/or the absence of deferential treatment is perceived as “bullying.” This jackal is the poster boy for everything that’s wrong with this country. 2 1 6
Popular Post h90 Posted July 17, 2023 Popular Post Posted July 17, 2023 I would say asking to boycott a business for any reason is OK. Outing extra-marital affairs: I would say the person who has it is to blame....If you play the conservative moral high ground as senator you should also live it yourself.... Can't say Pita is not good enough and yourself have a secret affair.... One or the other.... 3 1

They do their job according to the constitution which was voted for by the people...where is the treason? 1 4
ikke1959 Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 He has guts.... but it will not happening has probably he has much more to hide, If he is afraid something comes public.....They know perfectly how to make people angry, instead of doing their job

Popular Post Gottfrid Posted July 17, 2023 Popular Post Posted July 17, 2023 So convenient! Hiding like scared women, in hope of being protected by someone who actually have a d-k. So, now the saying gets to be updated. Hide your women, children and spineless senators. 2 1

That's an, um... interesting way of viewing the situation. One could also make the argument that the constitutional referendum was a total sham due to the way the question was worded, the ridiculous anti-free speech laws being enforced at the time, the ongoing practice of re-education (dissidents being dragged off to military locations at gunpoint!), and the lack of alternatives. It wouldn't be too hard to argue that every last member of the "senate" should rot in prison as co-conspirators in the illegal overthrow of Thailand's sovereign government! 5 1 1
sammieuk1 Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 Wonder if A senator has a name possibly Mr Grey of the shadow government by the sound of him ????

I of course have no problem with libel laws of the type we are familiar with in the West... the difference wrt defamation is it can be completely and utterly true. 1
bamnutsak Posted July 18, 2023 Posted July 18, 2023 Interesting how the slightest criticism of the upper crust here sets them off. It is probably the first time they have ever encountered resistance or criticism in their entire lives. Of course the reaction is a call for legal action when it would be far simpler to simply state why you voted, or didn't, the way you did. And why you chose to ignore the will of the people. Just be honest. You think you know what's best for ~ 70% of the voters. 1 1

They did according to their job in the constitution which had a referendum. I agree that the Senator construction is not good....but you seriously want to kill people because they do their job?

Here the Thai law is nonsense.
DLock Posted July 18, 2023 Posted July 18, 2023 The election was 14th May...and here we are 2 months later playing schoolyard drama games... Take these guys out behind the shelter sheds after school are sort it out.
spidermike007 Posted July 18, 2023 Posted July 18, 2023 These lowlifes have been bullying the Thai people for many years now. Guess they never expected the favor to be returned. They all assume they are "above it all". Mightier than the masses. Too rich to touch. Well, perhaps things are about to change. Perhaps your lives are about to take a turn for the worse, and you and your families are going to be subject to intense harassment for the cowardly and highly dishonorable positions you accepted. After all, the fortune comes at some cost, right? You guys are weak, pathetic, cowardly, self entitled hooligans, who are accustomed to a perch atop the ivory tower, and are now scared to death of being taken down a notch, and being asked to be accountable for your heinous and unforgivable actions. Of course you will resort to whatever dirty tactics you can. That is who and what you are. Filth. You are the deplorables. And now, you show your true colors by threatening the people who voted against your masters, with a lawsuit? You guys should be sent into exile. Or arrested for treason, and sent to prison. That is what you deserve. 1
robertson468 Posted July 18, 2023 Posted July 18, 2023 I understand that anyone in polotics must declare any business interests that they have, which I assume includes those in the upper house. That being so and to avoid defamation charges, all one needs to do is publish on the network, "Senator X owner of Y Company which trades in Z comodities is providing the Country with an outstanding product". I think most people would get the drift of what is being said and why.
