Thammasat University has been called upon to take action against a declaration by its Rangsit campus student council, which is full of expletives and hate speech.

The Thammasat University Student Council (TUSC)’s Rangsit campus recently published criticism concerning Move Forward leader Pita Limjaroenrat’s failure to secure enough parliamentary votes to support his premiership candidacy.

The TUSC blamed the failure on the senators, who it described as “rubbish”, who refused to vote in favour of Pita or abstained.

The last two paragraphs were so riddled with expletives and hate speech that all media outlets covering the story have had to censor the contents.

You can only oppress a population for so long.

Eventually they'll realize that those in power will never, ever give it up. They will never play by the rules.

So they will have to stand up and take power for themselves.

That process may not be as respectful as everyone wants.

The old guard will not go silently.

"So they will have to stand up and take power for themselves."

And once in power, they rig the system to benefit themselves and their friends while throwing a few scrapes to the commoners, and then the new guard becomes just like the old guard.  And they hold on to power just as tenaciously.
In with the new boss, same as the old boss.  <--- Reality

It's a rare political system that works for the benefit of the country's citizens.  Pretty much as rare as hen's teeth.

I assume he meant that they would rise up, seize power, then immediately hand it to the democratically elected MPs and PM.  Not so bad in theory, but the problem is that it might not turn out like that.

I understand that the students are angry, but they're a student council and, presumably, want to become professionals, possibly even politicians, at some point, so swearing and insulting people is not appropriate.

If you were in the parliament building and started shouting and swearing, you would be asked to leave.  They should be able to make their point in a strong but dignified way (which they actually do up until the end).

I they want to form an activist group privately, sure, but they should follow good proper conduct when representing their university.

This is actually why ALL politicians should range in age of 40-65 only,  have atleast 15-20 years of work history behind them and also be limited to 2 terms of office only as an MP.

Its the jobs for life merry go round that keeps them there.

Calling the senators "rubbish"... I admire their moderation and restraint.

Might go along with the lower age limit.. but plenty of diplomacy and calm reasoning a little beyond 65.
