A plausible scenario is that after buying a couple (or more) drinks for the lady in question, old Bob suggested that maybe she should buy him one and her reaction to that proposal started a row that he was completely incapable of de-escalating and eventually lead to him being asked to leave. They have long memories, and if she see's you walking by the bar, and a cop is handy.....trouble!!! I would be staying away from that area...period. I’ve found only a certain kind of woman acts that way; usually a prostitute or a gold digger. But not all. Saying that, I would always pay the bill on a first date and also the second. If she doesn’t offer by the third, she gets ‘ghosted’. Not that I date these days.
