A political activist asked the House speaker on Monday not to allow the re-nomination of Pita Limjaroenrat for the premiership on Wednesday.

Political activist Ruangkrai Leekitwattana said, if Pita is re-nominated, it may violate the Constitution and parliamentary regulations, as it could be tantamount to submitting a repeat motion in a single parliamentary session.

Pita’s first attempt to become the next prime minister of Thailand failed on July 13, when he did not gain enough parliamentary votes. In a joint sitting of 500 MPs and 250 senators, Pita received just 324 of the 375 votes required. Of the lawmakers present, 182 voted against him and 199 abstained.

rally and block his house is a better solution

Go to his housed and surround it?  And then take him to court?  Having just broken the law in surrounding his house and blocking it?  A touch hypocritical.

and get him in court for obstruction of democracy and treason

How would you prove either of those things?

Another pawn in the mold of Suthep Thangsuban and Paiboon Nititawan, but the game must be played without naming the players.

I think they should call the military appointed senators bluff here and nominate a military backed candidate to see if the military appointed senators can be bothered to vote. If they get up to vote for the military candidate (and lose) then we will know 100% that they are just waiting for a military candidate and blocking democracy.

If a law is being broken, bringing it to public attention is right - Peta seems not to have a party legal advisor and people are willing to let him get away with things.

On the OTHER hand if the activist is wrong he can be sued for defamation.

Yes, you can be an activist with a strong political bias. Morally wrong, but indeed possible.

I don't see it morally wrong...he find something that he thinks brake the law and reports it....Morally OK. If it makes sense and if he has too much time is another question
