In a shocking incident at the Khao Brooke Side hill in Mueang district, Rayong, a modified pickup truck used for transporting wood careened off the road due to brake malfunction. Local residents immediately alerted emergency services at 1669 upon witnessing the event.

The scene of the accident was grim. The truck, severely damaged with shattered windows, had its front embedded into the roadside, reported Sanook.

Among the three men in the car, one died from severe injuries after being ejected during the collision. The driver and another occupant had minor wounds.

They received on-site medical attention before being taken to a nearby hospital.

Eyewitness, Narong Sak Chayjirung, a 20-year-old woodcutter, recounted hearing the screech of tires and a loud crash.

On rushing to the scene, he discovered the injured victims and promptly called for help.

The treacherous road known for its steep gradient and sharp bends, has been a hotspot for accidents.

Seems like the brakes did not fail otherwise why the screech of tires?

Modified truck well overloaded and out of control.

Also driven by an idiot and occupied by non seat belt wearing passengers.

Probably overloaded with his cargo, ‘ modified ‘ read lowered so no suspension travel, combine that with not wearing seat belts, hence the ejection from the vehicle, and no doubt poorly maintained as are the bulk of vehicles on thailands roads..tragic and almost certainly avoidable accident
