webfact Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 The reason behind the Move Forward party’s lack of success in forming a government of the eight coalition parties is its refusal to scrap some of its policies, according to 42.98% of the respondents to the latest opinion poll conducted by the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA). 30.46% of the respondents, however, thought otherwise, believing that the party has not committed any mistakes. Nida Poll gauged the opinions of 1,310 people, aged 18 and, of various occupations, educational backgrounds and earnings between July 24th and 26th. The poll also shows that 27.56% believe that the Move Forward party is inexperienced in parliamentary politics, while 11.68% believe the party disassociates itself from the other parties and, therefore, does not have many political allies. 10.23% say the party does not understand the culture and realities of Thai politics and 9.54% say the party was careless in nominating Pita Limjaroenrat as the party’s sole prime ministerial candidate when it failed to check his qualifications properly. As the opposition he was doomed whichever way he went. 3 1
Popular Post bannork Posted July 30, 2023 Popular Post Posted July 30, 2023 As Pheu Thai move to the right to gain power and break their election pledges, MF stand firm as the only party with steadfast ideals and policies to reform Thailand. . Popular Post ikke1959 Posted July 30, 2023 Popular Post Posted July 30, 2023 It is the questions they ask and how they ask.. I think Move Forward has the support of the Thai people and they are also backing amendment of section 112. That is a really outdated law and abused by the last government to control demonstrations.. Indeed maybe they are inexperienced in politics, but in Thailand nobody has political experience .. Or do they believe Prayuth and Prawith had experience when they took over? Move Forward is a party that stands for going forward, but the army based Government will never accept less power. Therein lies the problem. Civil Government without army backed people is impossible, but MFP want these dinosaurs out as they hold back the country. Dont blame a party that has a view, blame the ones who don't want progress 13 3

This brings dsparate interests to gather in opposition. Better to move to reform one issue at a time separating a minority which is interested in preserving the status quo on that one issue from others looking to preserve their interests in other matters. 2 2
Popular Post newnative Posted July 31, 2023 Popular Post Posted July 31, 2023 I think if it wasn't Article 112 the dinosaurs would have found something else to object to in order to justify the Senators 'no' vote. Ditto for the dinosaur parties in the House. MF wins points by standing true to what they stand for, which I think will resonate with the voters in future elections. 4 1
Brickleberry Posted July 31, 2023 Posted July 31, 2023 No experience? What have they been doing for the last 5 years in opposition?
Popular Post bannork Posted July 31, 2023 Popular Post Posted July 31, 2023 The doctor just doesn't get it. The young are not victims of US propaganda. They've just seen through the nonsense you peddle. They have the internet. They read stuff the doc has probably never seen. Doc, look at the number of votes your parties got in the election. The party list. It was pathetic. 3 1
Popular Post Thingamabob Posted July 31, 2023 Popular Post Posted July 31, 2023 All credit to the MFP for not compromising. They will have to go into opposition mode, but time is on their side. The coup-appointed 'senators' will have gone before the next election at which time the MFP has a real chance of an overall majority. 2 1
sammieuk1 Posted July 31, 2023 Posted July 31, 2023 Of course what people voted for and succeeded at is irrelevant ???? 1 1

Move Forward should now state clearly their program regarding 112 and put this matter in abeyance until an election when they gain a majority (not counting any coalition partners) .
Stargeezr Posted July 31, 2023 Posted July 31, 2023 Long live the Kingdom of Thailand. That is my opinion of politics. Just do not tinker with the delicious food, and desserts like Kanom Kroce. and the street made Roti, both delicious and good soul food. Carry on Thailand.
