British Man Arrested in Thailand After 25-Year Visa Overstay
I was thinking that myself. It must be a devastating blow. He made it impossible by not surrendering. I have a memory of the late, lamented NancyL being involved in a case where the man involved had dementia and was on overstay. Thai authorities waived enforcement and he was placed in assisted living, at who's expense, I don't know. You can sometimes luck out by doing the right thing. -

It's typical of some on here- any Thai women posting on foreign forums often gets called a fraud or a prostitute, quite disgraceful. -

Briton's Dream Anniversary Trip to Thailand Turns into a Medical Nightmare
Missing is the reason why it is not covered. Exactly - contracting an illness or an injury while overseas is at the very core of travel insurance. So, IF they had cover - why did the company not cover there costs - this story really needs that reason.... ... this could either be terrible treatment by the insurance company wiggling out of payment. Or... it could be a big lie that they had the insurance at all.... Or... they thought they had insurance because they have a credit card that claims they offer insurnace etc (but usually only if you buy the holiday though them etc). Or... pre-existing condition ?? she had tonsillitis 25 years ago and they found out ? -
