A fracas erupted at Don Mueang International Airport as a foreign man attempted to assault a police officer with a skateboard, resulting in a significant online reaction. The skateboard incident occurred yesterday according to a video posted by TikTok user @angpao.cn.

 

 

The clip, which rapidly stirred up an online storm, shows a foreign national assumed to be of Asian descent arguing with a police officer. He tries to strike the officer with a skateboard repeatedly, with two other officers observing from nearby without intervening.

In response to the man’s aggression, the officer attempts to retaliate, unsuccessfully using his baton to counter the skateboard attacks. Nevertheless, the conflict isn’t de-escalated even when the two standing-by policemen try to mediate. The video ends there, leaving the cause of the dispute unclear and provoking a wave of online comments.

I would have a guess that he is Chinese and believes he can do whatever he wants without any repercussions for his actions which is a very Kevin and typical attitude

1. Never attack a policeman. It usually does not end well.

2. If he had done that in the US, there is a good chance he would have been shot dead.

3. The cops behaved very cool. I give them credit for that. They looked amused. Just another foreign crazy.

4. He looked Chinese. If he did that in China, he would likely be locked up for decades!

The other two policemen just standing there, draw your batons couple of hits on the legs and down goes skateboard man they should be ashamed just standing there letting a colleague get assaulted 

Nothing like some live performance art to alleviate the boredom of the airport security queue ...

Feels to me that the police has very strict orders to stay "calm" on locations with many tourists.
I the USA the guy would be been tasered, at least.

While I can appreciate the officers trying to de-escalate, Taser use comes to mind. Bullet can miss, ricochet not good in crowded airport.
