Might be possible to get another arrangement at application, but always the assigned day if no other agreement has been done. You do have the option of applying on a Friday and picking up on a Monday. Silly thread. You want to visit Luang Krabang . Flights from Bangkok simple. Do your sightseeing and then travel to Vientiane for your visa. Cross bridge and minivan to UT airport. If you have never been, Luang Prabang is well worth a visit. As mentioned, i'd have a photo with entry stamp, passport for data page ID only, i thought you'd understand that bit but obviously not. I've done this while applying for visas in other countries, ie used my second passport as ID, without issue. Again, you had no imput to intial question but thanks.
