e-Visa: how many bank statements?

Featured Replies

How many bank statements we need to show when applying for 60 days e-Visa, 1 month or more?

Thai embassy in Hungary only says "bank statement" without specifying is 1 enough or not.

I've seen some report says only 1 statement is ok, but some didn't.

I'll plan accordingly and send $1k to my Croatia bank account (have not been there for years) to make sure it stays there long enough.

Thanks!

It's usually 3 months for a single-entry tourist visa nowadays, so unless your embassy specifically deviates from that in their list of requirements, that's what I'd provide them with.

I sent them one bank statement showing a one year CD balance that was substantial...they never said a word and got approved...

Single entry 1 month

Multiple entry 6 months

That's applying in the UK

Believe that's correct in US as well.

Thanks all, so it's either 1 or 3 past statements, different for each embassy / consulate... So I'll email Budapest embassy to ask them, and will report here (if they reply).

The Visa application is sent to Thailand for approval,  local embassy has no say.

No it is not. Period.

Nonsense. That's not how the Thai eVisa system works.

As a general rule you are, of course, correct. The exception is that Non O-A and Non O-X visas require the endorsement of the MFA in Bangkok.
