K bank E-mail with Tax Forms attached ?
Thai banks call centres are 7 days a week in my experience. Regardless I just spoke to them. -

Waiting for Tears.
I haven't been able to locate a web source with that widely released audio tape of the General complaining about his former boss. I wonder if the NSA has transcripts of his unauthorized calls with the PLA? So no evidence, but plenty of the usual suspects repeating the claims that it was "reported." Looks like another "Steele Dossier." Assemble a random a collection of fictitious, salacious claims, shop it to a like-minded disinformation outlet, then get your tame stenographers in the press corpse to write breathless articles about how there are "reports" of golden showers in Moskau. When questioned about the validity, point to all the likes, links and shares on the intertubes. -

K bank E-mail with Tax Forms attached ?
Actually I just got through to them on the phone by entering the extension that was listed in the email. It bypasses the regular system. She spoke good English and was very helpful. The form / email is real. Non- US citizens can ignore the 2 IRS ones and just fill in the Thai one. It can be done via email as requested or done in branch for people with security concerns or who would prefer that. I asked what if it is not done. She said then if you want to do transactions or update your account in branch you may not be able to proceed to "the next step". I said you mean "if it is not done you cannot do transactions and use your account"? She said no it is only when you try to do things in branch. Take that as you will. I said I believe you have this info already should I still do it. She recommended yes. For the passport she said you need to scan it on white paper and sign it then send it. She also said it is something about this being a new requirement of a system that Kbank has signed up to last year or something. She also mentioned something about older accounts. As if to say some accounts are older and at that time the information wasn't needed but now it is. Perhaps by old she meant older than the new system they signed up to a year ago. That's about all I know and asked. -

K bank E-mail with Tax Forms attached ?
Thank you all for the explanations. I was ready to send today by email the first form + a signed photocopy of my passport. (the 2 other forms I am not concerned, I dont work, I dont need a tax id and I'm not a US citizen). But I will wait for tomorrrow, when offices will be opened and have some feedback. -

Thai worker abandoned in Israel after hospital discharge - video
How so? What do you know about the case that was not published? Do you know pertinent details such as; - Was the Thai still an employee? - Did the person present a threat or potential for harrassment to other people? - Why was he hospitalized? - Did the person invoke or otherwise activate his legal rights by calling the hotline telephone number that is required to be posted at the workplace, and that is in the document package, including instructions, that he was provided with? There are 30,000+ Thais in Israel. One case is profiled here, and from that you offer an hateful comment about judes. In the USA,, UK, and other western countries, there are hundreds of thousands of labour related complaints made every year. Do you make similar comments about the religious affiliations of the people of those nations? -

Day-to-day life in Myanmar
Hi Simon. With the greatest respect to your fascinating posts, I hope you do not mind me posting one or two photos from my visits to Burma - such happy memories! The lady with the bananas on her head reminded me of three ladies struggling with a heavy basket of pineapples at Hsipaw Station. Not on heads, but the basket was eventually carried on a shoulder, guided by the other ladies!
