Man Throws Girlfriend from Fifth Floor Before Jumping After Her in Jealous Rage
Picture captured from CCTV. A man in Bangkok threw his girlfriend from the fifth floor of an apartment building before jumping after her in a shocking act of jealousy. The woman is in critical condition, while the man sustained even more severe injuries. According to activist Kan Jompalang, the parents of the victim, identified as Ms. Mim, sought justice after their daughter was brutally assaulted by her boyfriend. The attack reportedly stemmed from the man’s jealousy after discovering that Ms. Mim had been chatting with a tomboy online, in what he believed to be a romantic context. The suspect allegedly lured the tomboy to his apartment under false pretences, asking her to wait by the stairs. When she arrived, he immediately tried strangled her, but she managed to escape and fled the building. The attacker then turned his aggression towards Ms. Mim, strangling her until she lost consciousness. CCTV footage captured him carrying her over his shoulder out of the room before ascending to the fifth floor, where he threw her over the edge. Moments later, he jumped after her. Emergency responders found both individuals with severe injuries. However, the man’s condition was reported to be worse than the victim’s, rendering him unable to communicate, while Ms. Mim has since regained consciousness. Reports indicate that Ms. Mim had previously been physically abused by the suspect and had attempted to leave the relationship. However, he had managed to persuade her to return to him. Ms. Mim’s family has expressed concerns that the case may not receive the attention it deserves and has requested assistance in ensuring justice is served. Kan Jompalang has vowed to liaise with Min Buri police to ensure the case is thoroughly investigated. “This is a shocking and brutal case. Even if jealousy was involved, no one has the right to throw another person from a building. The consequences of such actions destroy lives and futures,” Kan stated. Authorities are currently gathering witness statements, as bystanders reportedly tried to intervene but were ignored by the assailant. The investigation is ongoing. -- 2025-03-13 -

Dog Barking Drama: When Neighbourly Conflicts Turn Threatening
… or they bark incessantly because that’s what they do. Yours is a typical ‘dog person’ response. What a world to live in! When they recreationally bark like that, they are a menace to everyone bar the owner. I’d bet my bottom dollar that most people in the vicinity of that noisy mutt are pissed off. Thailand’s stray dog problem and relationship with dogs in general (I.e keep them caged, let them intentionally bark all day, biting kids, causing road accidents etc) is third world and one of the downsides to living here. There’s one by us, albeit probably 100m away, that stays chained up in the back garden and can recreationally yap ALL day. It’s disturbing from a high up condo so must be a nightmare for next door neighbors. Not really the dog’s fault, it is squarely on the selfish owners. Big fines should be dished out to get these selfish people to change their ways or you’ll have more of the above… people taking it into their own hands and killing their dogs. The way it goes in other countries is you get a warning from the authorities followed by a fine, then if it continues you lose the dog. This is how it works in a civilised society to prevent people’s lives from being disturbed by others. Putting up with it because it’s ’good for security’ lol is head in the clouds Thaier than Thai nonsense. -
