Social Media
Rudy Giuliani was down in the dumps. It was January 2008, and the former New York City mayor had flamed out of the Republican presidential primaries in spectacular fashion. He had longed to be the first Italian-American president of the United States. Now what? “In the wake of that crash and burn, Giuliani started to drink and went into a depression,” said Andrew Kirtzman, a longtime New York City journalist who has written two biographies of Giuliani. An unlikely figure stepped up to help: Donald Trump. The real estate mogul allowed Giuliani and his third wife, Judith, to stay at a cottage at Mar-A-Lago where he was able to recuperate outside of the prying eyes of the media. “It was Donald Trump who came to his rescue,” said Kirtzman, who recounted the episode in his 2022 book, “Giuliani: The Rise and Tragic Fall of America’s Mayor.” Some 15 years later, Giuliani has been charged with engaging in a conspiracy to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election on behalf of Trump. The indictment handed down by a grand jury in Fulton County, Georgia, marks the most dramatic turn in the long relationship between the two quintessentially New York figures. For Giuliani the charges also represent a new low in the career arc of a man who was once one of the most admired people on the planet. “His fall from grace is almost complete,” said Ken Frydman, who served as Giuliani’s press secretary during the 1993 mayoral campaign. “His only goal should be to die a free man.” FULL STORY

Popular Post Danderman123
A couple of days ago, Rudy promised that he would produce evidence during his upcoming testimony of his charges that some election workers changed votes in the 2020 Georgia election. Today, it was announced that Giuliani would not testify. I guess he sobered up. The Trump fans won't defend Rudy because he isn't their Orange Jesus, although they still believe his lies. 4 1

This was one of those orange porkies with NOTHING to back it up. Then Rudy pipes up with something about an incident at a candy store in one of the boroughs that morphed a little bit more every time it was told and eventually was made to fit the lie. So you see it was Rudy who made the overtures for a role in the orange regime. Neighborhood boys in the NYC area are protective of their "turf" and to suggest that this happened without somebody doing something about it, the Jersey boys would take it as an insult. If true, the way things would have played out would have us referring to "the night of the Louisville Slugger." No firearms necessary. Danderman123
I have served on a jury. There is enormous pressure on jurors to wrap up a case on Friday. If they finish deliberations early enough, they don't have to come back on Monday. So, it's likely that Friday will be the finish of jury deliberations. If not, it means the jury is split some way. Maybe with a MAGA holdout. But, it's a civil trial, so one deadender can be overcome. Edited December 15, 2023 by Danderman123

Popular Post placeholder
As for Giuliani being a hero... 9/11 Commissioners Say They Went Easy on Giuliani to Avoid Publics Anger The independent federal commission investigating the Sept. 11 attacks did not pursue a tough enough line of questioning with former Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani during a hearing two years ago because its members feared public anger if they challenged him, according to a new book written by the panel's leaders. "It proved difficult, if not impossible, to raise hard questions about 9/11 in New York without it being perceived as criticism of the individual police and firefighters or of Mayor Giuliani," wrote the chairman and vice chairman, Thomas H. Kean, a Republican, and Lee H. Hamilton, a Democrat, in their book, "Without Precedent: The Inside Story of the 9/11 Commission." "We did not ask tough questions, nor did we get all of the information we needed to put on the public record," they wrote. https://archive.ph/60ZWm https://www.nytimes.com/2006/08/06/nyregion/911-commissioners-say-they-went-easy-on-giuliani-to-avoid-publics.html 1 1

Danderman123
Most people still don't understand the real significance of this verdict: what is clear now is that Rudy's defamation was part of an intimidation campaign to force these women into falsely confessing that they changed votes during the 2020 campaign. But Rudy didn't act alone, and others attempted to intimidate them. These coordinated intimidation attempts were part of a conspiracy, and anyone in the conspiracy is legally liable for all illegal acts. That means that Rudy is not just legally liable for his public statements, but also any illegal act performed by anyone on his team that was trying to overturn the 2020 election. So, when Harrison Floyd threatened the election workers, everyone in the conspiracy is liable, including Rudy, and including Trump. Unless the Supreme Court rules that Trump has immunity, he is toast. If Trump has a prior conviction by the time of a Georgia verdict, Trump is going to prison. 1
