Smartest gets the lollies. Too many low smartness people around in positions they dont belong. Anyway, putting aside any evil he has done, the cruel feeling of being kept away from your home is over for Thaksin. Good luck friend. This message was posted in Yingluck’s Facebook page, together with a clip showing her hugging Thaksin as she sawhim off for his flight to Thailand after 17 years, except for a brief visit to Thailand in 2008, of living in self-imposed exile abroad. In her message, Yingluck said she understood that Thaksin felt lonely, sad and homesick throughout his exile, adding that she believes Thaksin must have thought for a long time before making the decision to return today. She said she hopes the exiled former prime minister’s return will be smooth and safe and reminded him to look after his health. She also asked Thaksin not to worry about her, saying that she is strong enough to take care of herself after spending six years abroad. Keen-eyed netizens noticed the watch Thaksin is wearing in one of the photos. X (Twitter) user and political analyst M.L. Nattakorn Devakula wrote “If I am not wrong, the watch Thaksin is wearing is Patek Philippe Grandmaster Chime”. Patek Philippe watches are renowned some of the most expensive in the world. If M.L. Nattakorn is correct, prices of the series he mentioned start at about Bt110 million. When Thaksin landed at a Don Muang VIP airport, however, online detectives went to work again, noticing that the watch Thaksin was now wearing, when he briefly greeted his supporters, was not the same one as in the photo taken on the aircraft. Instead, it was identified as an Omega X Swatch, the price of which is about Bt8,700. 1

Popular Post Sig
24 minutes ago, Sig said: Gosh, you sure think highly of the majority of Thai people... 25 minutes ago, Sig said: That's funny... I think you might be a bit off there... or maybe a lot. "BANGKOK, Aug 20 (Reuters) - Most Thais disagree with the leading plan for a coalition government which includes military-backed groups, an opinion poll showed on Sunday, two days before a parliamentary vote aiming to end a three-month political stalemate. About 64% of 1,310 respondents disagreed or totally disagreed with the idea of the Pheu Thai party forming a "special government" with military-backed rivals, according to the survey by the National Institute of Development Administration." So, if a majority already disagreed or totally disagreed with his party doing what they were doing 2 days before the parliamentary vote. Now that they've sold their souls to the devil for Thaksin's return and made them even more angry, you suppose that what was already a minority, by a long shot, is suddenly a majority, even by a tiny bit??? And on top of that, there's Jatuporn. He was/is a VERY steadfast loyal Red Shirt leader (one of the very top, if I'm not mistaken), following and supporting Thaksin through all the different iterations of parties over the years after Thaksin took off with his tail between his legs. And Jatuporn kept supporting Thaksin through all the years of his lies about returning, etc... But now Jatuporn has spoken out against both Thaksin and his sister. The idea that a majority of Thais are cheerful supporters of this man and what he's doing is an incredible take. It seems more like he is hemorrhaging support of the people. 3

Putting Thaksin and Pita in the same basket because of their Chinese heritage doesn't make sense. It's different generations, and bear in mind Pita's US education. Think of their mentalities differing in this way: Thaksin = rule BY law; Pita = rule OF law. 3

sqwakvfr
I thought he was an international fugitive. He was escorted out of the jet and all smiles. Does he get booked, face a judge or have to post bail? From what I saw it looked rather low key and anticlimactic?
