Pattaya — Four cars were involved in a crash on Thepprasit Road inbound to Pattaya.

Police and rescue personnel responded to a multiple-vehicle collision in Pattaya on Wednesday afternoon, August 23rd. The crash occurred just before the Thepprasit Intersection.

A black Toyota Altis sedan with a Bangkok license plate was found to have rear-ended a bronze Toyota Vigo pickup truck with a Bangkok license plate. The impact unfortunately caused the pickup truck to be propelled forward and collide with a white Isuzu pickup truck with a Chonburi license plate, and another bronze Toyota Altis sedan with a Bangkok license plate.

No, they have to be strapped in the back in a child seat now, didn't you hear about it?

Such liars here. Brake failure 555 555. Looking at that damage speed and lousy driving was the cause.

The brakes tend to fail if you don't press the peddle.

Let's see if a proper forensic examination is made to check all braking components. Wondering if police here carry that out like in other countries? Or because no serious injuries/death it's handed back to insurance to use one of their contracted mechanics to do the investigation?  (Hoping no brown envelopes).

Also crash scene, skid marks on road to show where brakes applied? Or none at all? Dash cam footage and CCTV? Witnesses?

Also wondering if police will check driver's phone records to see if in a call, texting, etc and whether any hands-free systems were in place?

I am paranoid at lights and when turning with oncoming vehicles here. So many drivers on their phones and being distracted as well as speeding.

None of the above.

I would blame a temporary localized disruption in the coefficient of friction, in other words a disturbance in the force.

That road is a race track , and the stupid intersection between Thappraya and  Thepprasit and the  concrete separation  in the middle of the road is unbelievable. Also , Why oh why don’t people respect the red lights. Totally dangerous everywhere.

Well it was brake failure...  The brakes failed to stop them in time.

It doesn't matter how fast they were going, braking distances, or how late they braked - the brakes didn't do the job the driver wanted them to do, ergo its the fault of the brakes !!!!!

You really can't make up the extent of juvenile thought process that goes on here to avoid accountability and responsibility.

Brake operator failure

In the immortal words of that Cool Hand Luke warden; "What we got here, is failure to communicate, some men just can reach the break pedal, which is what we have here".

More like looking at phone, it is a 100% populous activity in LOS....????

Thailand appears to have bad quality brakes on there vehicles.  Seems to be a very popular excuse, I mean reason

Usually its a case of driving like a tƜat,

then when the realisation that a self induced collision is imminent belatedly dawns-

stamping on the brake - which achieved no determent to the collision

ergo the brakes 'failed' (in what they were asked of them to achieve :whistling:)

Driving gets a little harder at weekends with the extra traffic from Bangkok..... they are pushy and don't grasp giving way.
