Popular Post webfact
The residents of Chiang Mai continue to voice their discontent by spray painting a message on a roadside sign, questioning "Why Isn't Pita the Prime Minister?" On August 27, 2023, news outlets reported that a sign with the message was found along Charoenmuang Road in front of the Chiang Mai Railway Station, reported Thai Rath. The sign was located in Wat Ket sub-district, Mueang district, Chiang Mai province. It had been sprayed with white paint and purple lettering using spray cans. The message read, "Why Isn't Pita the Prime Minister?" referring to Pita Limcharoenrat, the leader of the Kao Klai (Move Forward) Party. Picture: Thai Rath The party won a significant number of seats but faced political challenges, preventing Pita from becoming the Prime Minister despite the party forming the government. This has sparked dissatisfaction among some Chiang Mai residents, as many supported the Kao Klai (Move Forward) Party, which won 7 out of 10 constituencies. Authorities have taken measures to address the situation, with police investigating and coordinating efforts to rectify the defaced sign. NONG CHOK
Why can't Thai people accept the fact that even if Pita and the MFP had gained 100% of the votes in their favor he still wouldn't be PM. The elite have done everything to make sure of that. If Pheu Thai does anything to anger the elite another coup maybe just around the corner. MFP would be wise to start planning for the next election now and getting everything in order and keep their fingers crossed. There will always be threats of coups until the head honcho takes control.

There is simply no need currently as all the dirty work is done by the bent extra-judicial agencies: election commision, constitutional court etc. It won't be long before the MPP is disbanded. what will detetmine things is the strength of the backlash. Somethings gotta change and eventually it will.

Sydebolle
Valid question indeed! But since the junta "legalized" itself with rigged election processes they managed to replace Thaksin's puppet government in 2014 with a Thaksin puppet government in 2023 ????
