Popular Post snoop1130 Posted September 4, 2023 Popular Post Posted September 4, 2023 Thailand’s Supreme Administrative Court upheld a lower court’s decision today (Monday) dismissing a lawsuit, filed by six individuals, against Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and another health official, accusing them of committing a wrongful act by removing cannabis and hemp from Category 5 controlled drugs list. The court confirmed the lower court’s ruling that the six plaintiffs, led by Smith Srisont, were not the parties who had been affected by the issuance of the ministerial regulation deleting cannabis and hemp from the list. The Ministry of Public Health, however, later issued another ministerial regulation declaring cannabis flowers as a controlled traditional medicine. Popular Post daveAustin Posted September 4, 2023 Popular Post Posted September 4, 2023 Why don’t these busy bodies make themselves useful by filing a lawsuit against someone in government for all the dangerous driving on the roads? You can even blame Anutin if you like, just leave weed be, which is pretty bloody harmless in the great scheme of things. 3 2 2

Popular Post JonnyF Posted September 5, 2023 Popular Post Posted September 5, 2023 Good news. Weed is here to stay. Too much money invested now and too much face to lose by making it illegal again. I'm quite glad, I enjoy a toke occasionally in the evenings (if I'm not going out), helps me sleep and I wake up feeling refreshed. 3 1 1
Taboo2 Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 Those six individuals should be ordered to pay legal fees to Anutin and court costs for wasting time. 1 1

Perhaps it is, in your opinion, but you don't speak for everybody, especially me. Why did he not decriminalise, heroin, cocaine, meth, ice, yaba as well. After all they are illegal drugs as well?

As Anutin is no longer the minister of Health, what happens if the new minister of Health declares it completely illegal? 1

Good point, given that two of the most addictive products, cigarettes and alcohol, are freely available in most parts of the world. 1

Nonsense it is not legal around the world What is the law now? Growing, possessing, selling and/or using cannabis remains illegal in Australia, although the precise law varies from state to state (and territory). Below are the fines/sentences for possession/use of cannabis. Legalising cannabis in Australia: how would it work and is there a catch? | Australian politics | The Guardian Number of Countries with Legal Weed While several countries have either decriminalized cannabis or legalized it on a medical level, you will be surprised to see that the number of countries worldwide with legal recreational cannabis is staggeringly low. Perhaps 2022 will usher in a new year of growth, change, and progress. The countries, states, and territories that have legalized marijuana are as follows. Canada Georgia Malta Mexico South Africa Uruguay 18 States in the United States (and counting!) 2 Territories The District of Columbia The Australian Capital Territory

bamnutsak Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 A rational decision by the court as the plaintiffs had no standing and had not suffered any damages. And revoking, or even issuing an injunction, against a Ministerial Order might have wreaked havoc on the functioning of "government" here, where much is accomplished with a piece of paper, stroke of the pen and Garuda stamp. 1 1
retarius Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 From someone who doesn't use cannabis and loathes Anutin, I think it is a shame.
rumeaug Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 i am not against marijuana. The only thing that bothers me is the fact that when people smoke it in public places (streets etc...outdoor areas), you have no choice sometimes but to breath in a smoke you don't want to inhale (same goes with cigarettes). And non-smokers have no say. Just shut up and inhale.
