Ah, the ugly head of racism arises. The evidence is more that the Israelis won't accept the Palestinians as equals. Otherwise there'd be an equal vote.

I

Do stop this nonsense  , there are two million Palestinians living in Israel with equal rights and they can vote and they can and do get elected to the Knesset , Israel's Parliament

It's not a valid example because there is no racial division to speak of in HK.

In your opinion.

As I said I don't have the answer.

But if you accept as I do two state and one state equal voting is off the table, there aren't many options left at all, except the status quo and obviously the status quo is really bad.

A strong majority of Israelis are fine with the status quo going on indefinitely. That's the most likely outcome for the forseeable future.

An Israeli not wanting Palestinians to have an equal vote is racist. Period.

The Two million Palestinians who are Israeli citizen do indeed get an equal vote .

Are you seriously suggesting that non Israeli citizens should vote in Israeli elections .

Should the USA allow Mexicans to vote in their elections ?

You are correct that Arab Israeli citizens have equal voting power.

But Israelis as a whole (mostly Jews) are never going to freely vote to include Arabs in the west bank and Gaza in Israeli elections because that would be national suicide. Israelis should never be expected to commit national suicide. No country should be expected to commit national suicide.

So any kind of one state solution will need to be with a system where Israel retains it's majority Jewish character in significant ways (as such a one state would put them in the minority).

Israel was founded under political Zionist inspiration to be the only one state in the world with a Jewish majority. The Israeli right of return of Jews is linked to that. That principle won't be voluntary abandoned by Israelis.

Not in the wider Israeli Palestinian territories, they don't. We are discussing a solution, not deflecting with semantics. The solution you expound is profoundly apartheid and could never gain acceptance among Palestinians. Apartheid is racist.

The two state solution was never an option because the Palestinians reject a two state solution , they want the land all for themselves .

IMO the only reason the UN hasn't taken any steps towards penalising Israel for illegally occupying Palestinian land, building illegal settlements, erecting illegal walls and illegally subjecting Palestinians to collective punishment is because of the american veto.

Given the land was taken from them by other countries in the UN against their will, are you really surprised they want it back?

Equal rights- are you having a laff?

You obviously don't watch Al Jazeera if you think that.

That and Israeli refusal to abide by the ICC.

It's not semantics. It's reality. Palestinian Arabs living in Gaza and the west bank are not Israeli citizens so obviously at this point voting in Israeli elections is out of the question.

You could start here"

https://www.cfr.org/backgrounder/what-know-about-arab-citizens-israel

Arabs represent one-fifth of Israel’s population. Systemic discrimination, outbreaks of communal violence, and the broader Israeli-Palestinian conflict continue to strain their ties with Israel’s Jewish majority.

As I said , from your link

"Arab citizens have the same legal rights as Jewish Israelis,"

Equal vote, but not equal treatment.

So Israel needs to give them their own state if they don't want to give them a separate state. The status quo is apartheid and racist.

Are the settlements genocide? Not one person, least of all yourself, has wanted to go anywhere near this question. They defend Israel as not nazi but won't declare their hand either way when it comes to the whether the settlements are genocide or not, the single biggest bone of contention.

It means that Israel shouldn't be singled out for criticism for something that happens in all Countries .

So, by that logic, no country should be singled out for criticism? All countries same? None worse than others? Luxembourg has the same issues as Israel?

Who did I flame. You can't do it can you? Are the illegal settlements genocide?

You won't answer that question and yet have the temerity to criticize others on the topic.

If a person back home, I take it you are from the USA .

If a person was just critical of Black people and only focused his abuse on Black people and tuned a blind eye to all other races of people doing similar .

How would you describe that person ?

Do you get many Israelis campaigning for an Aboriginal homeland in Australia ?

Are there many Israelis seeking equal rights for Aborigines ?

Shouldn't you be tidying up your own house first ?

Rather than pointing fingers at Jews ?

No to all questions. I'm not pointing fingers at Jews. I never mentioned Jews.

Interesting you mention that.

https://m.jpost.com/jerusalem-report/exploring-the-connections-between-jews-and-native-americans-672667

There is much sentiment behind the affinity of Jews and Jewish history with that of American Indian tribes. The atrocities inflicted upon their people were a key factor that resulted in diminishing their population by 90% – from a high of about 10 million in 1492 to a low of 250,000 at the beginning of the 20th century. Their numbers are slowly recovering.

Common roots

According to a Ynet report, a population of Native American Indians from the US state of Colorado has been found to have a genetic mutation typical of Ashkenazi Jews. The finding suggests the presence of common roots that date back to the days of Christopher Columbus.

Utterly irrelevant to any point I have made. Stop deflecting. I criticise Israel and you want to turn it back to antisemitism again. We've been through this. Stop trolling.
