Samran Nuanma, the Deputy Commissioner of the Royal Thai Police, led an operation to combat crime in Chiang Mai City, aligning with the government's tourism policy, reported Siam Rath. The operation took place at the Three Kings Monument in the heart of the city, with the presence of Pol. Lt. Gen. Sukhon Prommai, the Commissioner of the Tourist Police, Pol. Lt. Col. Thakun Nimsombat, the Commissioner of the Tourist Police Division 2, and other government officials from various related agencies. Additionally, it aimed to prevent and suppress criminal activities, including illegal activities by foreign guides and other offenses that might negatively impact the tourism industry.
