PRIME MINISTER SRETTHA Thavisin Tuesday (Sep.26) told all members of his cabinet to no longer manage to have too many government officials accompany him during his official trips to the provinces.

 

Government spokesman Chai Wacharong quoted the prime minister as suggesting that all cabinet members no longer give orders for too many government officials to literally hang around in his company at places where he may pay official visits or meet with local villagers as they may have usually done.

 

Apart from the prime minister’s entourage from Bangkok, a cabinet member may not only order the director-general of a department but a deputy director-general of the same agency, plus their subordinate officials to accompany him in addition to those who are based in the provinces where he may visit and dutifully responsive to them.
