snoop1130
The Thai prime minister held a discussion with relevant government officials to expedite a solution to the current major incident dominating the news, the Siam Paragon shopping mall shooting. A national emergency alert system on a mobile application is currently under discussion for development with cooperation from mobile network service providers. At 4:30 PM, on October 4th, 2023, Thai Prime Minister Mr. Srettha Thavisin held a discussion with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, the Minister of the Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, and relevant officials on the shopping mall incident. In Thailand, illegal firearms are widely on sale digitally, whether blank guns or improvised firearms. Mr. Srettha emphasized strict prohibition on purchasing firearms without proper procedures and elevated security measures in crowded establishments. Additionally, the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society would shut down illegal websites selling firearms, weapons, hazardous substances, and other dangerous objects without a permit. bamnutsak
I think Move Forward MPs suggested this BEFORE the PM jumped in. But who cares as the PM ran with it as if it was his idea.
scorecard
Perhaps better to invest the time and money is preventing the conditions which cause these incidents rather than a 'force' to sit and codjitate until something happens. I'd also worry about the quality / effectiveness of any training they might receive, and worry about the preparedness of any equpment they might have. Prevention please.
fallup88
Blank guns were sold on lazada, they have since banned it and ban the search of “gun”. But you can still search terms like toy gun and water gun.
OJAS
So does this mean that our mobiles are likely to start emitting deafening wailing sounds over which we have no control, like they did on a test basis in the UK last April? https://aseannow.com/topic/1292603-uk-emergency-alerts-service-test-23-april-2022/
Sydebolle
Hub of all committees, working groups and countless meetings with sharped pencils, little sweets in bowls and the subsequent Somtam lunch to declare the congregation a success. What it needs is response time and if it takes anything between 90 - 120 minutes to arrive at a scene, where the police headquarters is a mere 500 meters away and a governmental medical institute, the Chulalongkorn hospital less than 1'000 meters away ........ any more questions?
