A 30-year-old former teacher, Sroysuda Sitthison, found financial prosperity not within the confines of a classroom but in the bustling space of her own eatery, "Somtum Khru Ting".

 

Previously earning a meager 7,000 baht monthly, Sroysuda traded chalk and textbooks for fresh ingredients, now raking in up to 40,000 baht selling delightful dishes of somtum—a spicy Thai papaya salad—and other local delicacies, reported Daily News.

Located along the bustling Highway 24 in Sisaket Province, "Somtum Khru Ting" is always abuzz with customers, both dining in and taking away, creating queues that attest to the quality and popularity of Sroysuda’s offerings.

Good to read of the woman earning much more money than her teacher salary yet a lot more work involved .

It is easy to sell food and drinks in Thailand.  If you are near a school, university, market or factory you are guarantee yearly profit.

 

They make no effort at all.  No menu, the staff are half asleep, disgusting conditions and average food but they get walk through traffic every hour of the day.

Jeez dude, why don’t you say what you really mean. And you make your negative comments based on how many observations exactly? I have seen plenty of food stalls near schools, universities and offices and such, all pretty clean, selling good food, very friendly staff. You say they have no menu. Maybe you missed this picture:
