Yeah well,

I'm getting so old and creaky that going over and walking around Big C Extra takes some planning.

Take 2 magnesium tablets daily plus protein powder. Try it for 10 days, see what happens.

Walking on the roadside for that distance ? Chances of making it unscathed to the end must be slim to none .

Go for it ...

Great idea. I too would love to, but the hot sun is my problem.

Even cycling would be nice.

Really? Are you serious?

Asking for a friend.

Cycling is probably better. Makes it easier to go from guest house to guest house. Cover more ground daily. I saw a farang couple in Surat doing a road trip with luggage.

Good idea, the walking (or cycling) part.  Do it, but not that route.

I've done part of it by bicycle.  Main highway has too much traffic, back roads too many dogs.  Fewer dogs once south of Hat Yai.

Why not get a re-entry permit, take a train to Nong Khai, then walk (or cycle) to Huai Xay?
