Middle Aged Grouch
Visiting Bangkok can be a health hazard for western tourists more used to good air quality back home. Smokers at higher risk. Better to choose another place for the holiday. Up to you if you don't care.

rudi49jr
No doubt the authorities will be ‘closely monitoring the situation’, or maybe even setting up a committee or two. But actually doing something about it seems to be too much to ask. Probably too busy thinking of new ways to get even more kickbacks. Anyone wants to hazard a guess what will happen when the burning season starts? My money is on nothing, zip, zilch, nada, not a damn thing.

I had the privilege of working (for a spell) for a Pakistani 'scholar' who use to refer to the locals as 'monkey brains', and it always use to crack me up. (perhaps pot and kettle) What do I know...!? Edited October 19, 2023 by tkramer
