There are many beautiful love songs some mean a lot to you and makes you remember of happy times such as when I Had my wedding night the first song we picked was I Can't fight this feeling by Reo Speedwagon. Because when I Clapped my eyes on the intended wife the song i asked her to dance to was Reo.

This video would not be allowed these days, must be one black & one white, as in all the ads on telly.

But what a beautiful woman with a fantastic voice.

Was she a one-hit wonder, cannot recall anything else she did, apart from an abominable disco re-mix of this beautiful love song.

"Take it to the Limit", Eagles

"Love Hurts", Nazareth

Honeysuckle Rose, Satchmo

I like "Love Hurts" as done by a number of artists, funny I just learned it was written by Boudleaux Bryant.

He wrote a lot of other great songs, many were hits for Phil and Don if you know who they were.

"Bye, Bye Love,"

 "Wake Up Little Susie."

: "All I Have to Do Is Dream,"

"Take A Message to Mary,"

"Devoted to You."

 "Raining in My Heart," r

“Rocky Top,"

"Take Me As I Am (Or Let Me Go)"

 "Bird Dog"

Depends at the time in your life. The years pass and loves come and go, some fade into obscurity but perhaps a precious few memories still linger.

My very first, never to be forgotten:-

And will forever remember a wonderful magical summer on a Greek island:-

"Wild Horses" by the Rolling Stones

"I can almost hear you sigh" by the Rolling Stones

One I really like, sort of a "lost love" song is by Elton John.

"Come Down in Time"

Different songs have different memories from different events in your life.

I think this was the first one that actually meant something at the time and holds those particular memories from my teenage years back in the 70's

sorry to derail the thread, but can I get a philosophical point in?

there's way too much emphasis on "romantic love" in western culture, both through incessant love songs and hollywood love stories.

this is probably causing more harm than good as the real world doesn't operate on romantic love.

these romantic love illusions are creating a lot of problems in relationships.

people expect "to be loved for who they are" based on romantic notions and complain that women are only after money, but that's closer to reality than anything in these love songs.

just watched this video by a psychologist. highly recommend it.
