I keep waking up from vivid dreams, mainly about my previous working life, mainly a HGV mechanic, I'm also it seems always looking for something, like my car, a person, keys, always a crowded situation, worst is looking for cigarettes or a lighter, then I feel I want a cigarette at 4am. I can't seem to break away from this type of dream.

That's a common feeling in many of my dreams - I've gone somewhere, by car or on the bus, don't find what I went to see/do and then can't find the way back. A variation is desperation to check in or board a flight. I get lost in a maze of corridors, go through a door and find myself out in the street or in a field.

So it's not just me whew. What annoys me is waking up before I've found whatever, one day I actually looked out my window to make sure my car Was there.:giggle:

A few recurring....the most frequent is me trying to get to an airport to catch a flight, and I'm in a hotel room trying to pack and I have way too much stuff to go in the luggage, and too many suitcases to carry. I assume, it reflects the 'glamourous' (haha) business life I led jetting around the world worrying about getting to my flight on time.

I would say I have this basic dream with small variations about once a week.

I have the usual "lost" dreams and one recurring variation is desperately trying to make it to work on time. I worked in casinos for many years and have had numerous dreams where I'm trying to get my uniform (tuxedo) together, find the building and then find the casino floor - I don't think that I ever made it!

Odd that I never have similar dreams about finding my way to any of my office jobs.

Can't find where I parked my car. The more I look the more lost I become until, I just have to wake up. I hate that dream.

The same as me I've had a few different types of job, but never dream about them. Strange that we all seem to have similar "lost" dreams.

I dream of jollies with naked women. It'll never happen but it's the next best thing.

Are you skint then? Even if I had that dream I'd still be looking for my car afterwards, and searching for condoms before :giggle:

Not skint. Just lazy and happily married.

It's easier to dream.

Yep, I get this , I wake up and start analising the dream  " why on earth would I be doing that ''  etc.

I have about 50 books here and in one of them the writer said our dreams float off and mingle with others.

A strange one gets repeated every so often. I go to a pub , there are stairs up to another level and there are about four blokes sitting drinking and I know their names , then I wake up.If I just had one full name it might help. Oh another one is waking up with a song in my head that I haven't heard for maybe 50 years.

I can perfectly balance my feet so that I glide down stairs without walking.  The rear foot drops down but it is caught by the front foot and the cycle continues.
