On October 30th, a city bus en route from Loei to Bangkok crashed into a tree alongside a drainage ditch.

The accident took place near a scrap shop close to the Thailand Electric Generation Station on Route 201 in Kaeng Khro, Chaiyaphum, approximately 8 kilometers from downtown, reported Siam Rath.

The bus, a white air-conditioned vehicle, bearing license plate 10-1991 from Loei and side number 29-85, ended up in the ditch next to the road. One person was injured and promptly taken to Chaiyaphum Hospital.

There were nearly 40 passengers on board, both seated and standing, who awaited assistance to continue their journey to Bangkok.

The bus driver, Mr. Sarawut, 38, reported starting his trip from Loei at 20:30 the previous night. According to him, as he approached the accident site, two dogs chasing each other ran in front of the bus.

To avoid hitting them, he swerved, lost control, and crashed. Police are set to further interrogate Mr. Sarawut to ascertain the complete details of the incident.

My mother had a PSV (public service vehicle) license. One of the things they taught her is, no matter how difficult it is, never swerve to avoid an animal because you are responsible for the 45 people sat behind you.

When we started to drive Trucks they said ,Don't swerve for animals if they cross the road in front off you, you have to save yourself and so you do't cause an accident and safe people Lives .

Why do you think we have the Bull Bars on our trucks in Aus.

You go out on the Back roads you'll see dead Roos and a few head off cattle ,that's much better then causing a accident with a Road Train full off animals  or a Busload off people or even a car.

Has any of the passengers confirmed this pathetic excuse. Immediate license suspension followed by mandatory safety course.

Also what are the operators limitations for hours continuous driving and mandatory rest periods in Thailand?

Oh yeah right, none of the above will be followed through by a transportation agency.
