Thai passport needs extending near Pattaya

Featured Replies

the gf is with her adult son near Pattaya and has left it to the last minute to get her thai pass port extended.  Not sure why she is bothering.   She lives in uk and has a uk passport.   where does she go as in where is the nearest office  ???

Thai passports can not be extended.

She needs a new one.

The passport office had moved from The Avenue to ?

Was it Central on the beach?

Getting new passport takes a few days when sent by EMS.

In urgent cases go to Chaeng Wattana in Bangkok. Morning to afternoon service for a surcharge.

She is not living in Pattaya?

Passports are usually sent to the address where she is registered.

Don't know whether and how it can be sent to another address.

I wondered about that.    Apparently  someone will collect the passport from where it is delivered and  bring it back to the UK. Anyway she is off to Central as I type.

My son renewed his Thai passport earlier this year in Pattaya. He was doing his nation service in Thai army at the time, and was told he could send the passport to any address. He had it send to a relative in Pattaya.

👍That makes sense.

Millions of Thais don't live at the address where they are registered.
