:o Call me "thick" I guess, but I see the last two references to "satellite" but I can't figure out where I can get more information concerning this service.  "Sounds" really great.  Where do I buy?  Kolat area?

Ken,

Phone CSLOXINFO in Bangkok 0-2263-8222

Good luck, but you do need a dial-in phone as well.

I also live in a village with no phone lines..... For the past 5 months I have been using a GPRS Itegno modem with a connection through DTAC.

I use the unlimited access plan which costs $1,443.00 baht per month.

The download speeds are comparable to a land line.

Connection speeds in Isarn are a joke.Never even get close to the stated speed.Must be a bandwidth problem.
