A criminal court in Mukdahan province sentenced Chaiyaphol Wipa to 20 years in prison today, on two charges relating to the death of a three-year-old child who went missing in 2020.

Orawan Wongsricha, aka “Nong Chompoo”, who was the niece of the defendant’s wife Somporn, disappeared from her house in Dong Luang district of Mukdahan on May 11th, 2020. Three days later, her body was found naked on a hill several kilometres from her house.

14 people were initially under suspicion, 12 of whom were relatives of the victim and the rest were acquaintances. Only Chaiyaphol could not, however, confirm his whereabouts at the time of the child’s abduction.

That´s like really good news. Hope he rots!

Loong Phol has been raking in the cash donations and other goods from his followers for more than 3 years. IIRC some of them built a new house for him. Mrs C tells me that he now has several properties and cash in the bank, donated by people who thought he was wrongly suspected of the murder.

I hope there is some way that his ill-gotten gains can be confiscated and given to the girl's family (or, at least taken away from him).

MUKDAHAN, Dec 20 (TNA) – The Mukdahan Provincial Court has sentenced Chaipol Wipa to 20 years in prison in connection with the death of his three-year-old niece “Nong Chompoo” in May 2020.

The child had gone missing from her home in Mukdahan before she was found dead in the forest.

The court found him guilty of recklessness causing the death of another person, resulting in a 10-year imprisonment and depriving a child under the age of 15 from a parental care, leading to a 10-year imprisonment.

Other charges against him are dropped. He was ordered to pay compensation to the plaintiff.

20 years to contemplate his monstrous actions.

That's the way the world works. Order someone else to do it and you're okay. That system currently operates in Russia and Israel, and to a lesser extent Palestine.

Bush and Blair got nothing for killing millions of innocent citizens and destabilizing a complete regio,
Moral of the story: If you want to kill, do it big and you will not be punished.

Not enough as far as Im concerned,
