How on earth do you Diet in Thailand ?
No, wrong. Watch the first couple of minutes of the video @BigStarjust posted. Or watch the obesity lectures of Jason Fung (mutch more detailed), I think he posted the link, but easy enough to google them anyway -

Tim Walz: The Unexpected Strength Behind Harris’s VP Pick
Okay, so just generalized dislike for progressives, which you perceive as being hypocritical. For reasons you haven't explained or provided examples of, but never mind, separate discussion. Like your hypocrisy in pretending your posts weren't saying negative things about Kamala? -

Latest developments and discussion of recent events in the Ukraine War
IMO the west has sold to Ukraine a serious miscalculation with regard to Putin; we the public, like Ukraine, seem to be under the impression Putin will stop if the war becomes too costly- I think this is wrong. It’s not, as some would argue, a war motivated by Putin’s ideology. It’s not, as others would argue, a war motivated by resources or money. The Kremlin has made a strategic decision to fight the war until it wins, at any cost. They view the war as a national security necessity. Putin is and has always been a national security hawk. He sees things through the eyes of a KGB agent- he is incredibly calculating - an evil genous as it were. And, the west actually understands this. There is no miscalculation in western capitals; they know what Putin is doing and why he is doing it. And so we are successfully exploiting Russia’s national security concerns by using dripfed equipment to batter the Russian armed forces. If the Russian army wins (which I suspect it will), it will be at far lesser strength than before the war. This weakens Russia and allows the US in particular to focus all of its efforts on the real threat to a free society which is of cousre the sleeping goant - China. Ukraine’s gamble against Russia risks becoming blunder https://thehill.com/policy/defense/4862260-ukraine-advance-kursk-scrutiny/ George Beebe, director of grand strategy at the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft, said the Kursk operation was still in its early stages but “looks like it’s heading toward a failure.” “The Russians have not diverted significant numbers of forces from the front lines in Ukraine. If anything, they’ve stepped on the accelerator pedal,” he said. “There seems to be a great deal of skepticism about what this incursion is going to accomplish, and I think growing concerns that it was a blunder.” Russia appears to have accepted the reality of Ukrainian troops in Kursk for now. The Institute for the Study of War assessed this week that “Putin is attempting to preserve the Russian drive on Pokrovsk at the expense of delaying the clearing of Kursk.” -

Thailand to tax residents’ foreign income irrespective of remittance
Thx for posting. I just read it. Nothing new, except they really mean it. For me, this would probably be the straw that breaks the camel's back. Pollution already means I won't spend the EU winter here anymore - but it's a bit weird to spend only the EU summer here. Ever increasing bureaucracy (online 90 days never working, now TM 30 again, soon ETA...) ... this used to be a country where I never saw a bureacrat in my first 10 years, that was very nice. It's not the small amount of taxes I might have to pay. It's the amount of time I waste with bureaucracy. -

Periodic COVID updates for England
Here's the charts from the latest UKHSA weekly COVID update for England as of Sept. 5: My text summary - New weekly COVID deaths reported at 127 (down 24% for the week ending Aug. 23) fell to their lowest level since late May. Among two other publicly reported indicators, weekly COVID cases (not an especially reliable indicator due to sparse testing) increased 4.4% for the week ending Aug. 28. But the positivity rate for COVID testing (7-day rolling average) continued declining down to 9% from a peak of almost 16% earlier in the summer. There was no updated data for COVID new hospital admissions since the last weekly report. The latest numbers are second consecutive week of data (reported deaths and testing positivity) showing England's spring-summer COVID surge is finally easing. https://ukhsa-dashboard.data.gov.uk/ https://ukhsa-dashboard.data.gov.uk/topics/covid-19#deaths Weekly COVID deaths from the recent low in May: Weekly data for deaths with COVID-19 on the death certificate in England Up to and including 16 August 2024 (some recent prior week figures have been revised vs prior weekly reports): Date -- Amount 23 Aug 2024 -- 127 16 Aug 2024 -- 167 9 Aug 2024 -- 200 2 Aug 2024 -- 197 26 Jul 2024 -- 182 19 Jul 2024 -- 216 12 Jul 2024 -- 205 5 Jul 2024 -- 165 28 Jun 2024 -- 186 21 Jun 2024 -- 149 14 Jun 2024 -- 158 7 Jun 2024 -- 146 31 May 2024 -- 113 24 May 2024 -- 147 17 May 2024 -- 168 10 May 2024 -- 93 https://ukhsa-dashboard.data.gov.uk/ https://ukhsa-dashboard.data.gov.uk/topics/covid-19#cases https://ukhsa-dashboard.data.gov.uk/topics/covid-19#testing -

Latest developments and discussion of recent events in the Ukraine War
https://www.euronews.com/culture/2024/09/06/sympathetic-view-of-russian-soldiers-creates-controversy-at-venice-film-festival Russian-Canadian filmmaker Anastasia Trofimova has defended her film 'Russians at War' as an "attempt to see through the fog of war". A new film from Russian-Canadian documentary filmmaker Anastasia Trofimova has sparked a row at the Venice Film Festival for its sympathetic depiction of Russian soldiers on the frontline of Vladimir Putin’s war in Ukraine. Trofimova spent seven months living with Russian troops on the frontline to create Russians at War which premiered out of competition at Venice. The filmmaker intends to change stereotypes around Russian soldiers in the West. -

High CBD Low THC
Instead of going the flower direction. I use a Disposable CBD Vape which is THC-free. The brand is "CBD Monsta". I use the 500 mg CBD. I take a few puffs at night and sleep like a baby. And it relieves me of all joint pain, too. It comes in assorted strains. I buy the OG Kush. Most major Cannabis places will sell it. I usually go to a place called, GO-Green to buy my stuff. Give it a try, I think it is what will help you. -

Can you defend yourself?
I most likely wouldn't walk alone in a park in the night. Well, I have trained Combat sports, been a security, but you ar just as good as you are, until you meet someone faster, stronger and more crazy than yourself. So would I put myself in such a situation because I think I can defend myself? No -

High-Speed Pickup Truck Crash in Phuket Leaves Two Dead
60 years ago, what were most Thai people driving? Ox carts? Too bad we cannot return to those much simpler and safer times. This would be better for Thai youth, too....!
