Some good news for Aussies in WA, Thai Airways will commence non-stop flights again to BKK. At a decent price. This is just an example.

I wish there were direct flights from the US.

They used to have them but stopped it. 

Now you have to stop over in Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Philippines or Singapore unless you fly from the east coast and go through Europe which takes even more time....

But Australia is just a short 7-hour flight

Yes they did stop flights from Perth to BKK just after the pandemic I was on the last flight from BKK to Perth
