Tragic motorcycle sidecar accident claims life of Thai child

A tragic accident occurred just a day after Children’s Day when five related children were driving a motorcycle sidecar home and crashed into an electricity pole. The oldest of the children, a ten year old girl, lost her life.

3 Ratsadon protest leaders get suspended sentences for November 2020 rally

Three core members of the Ratsadon protest group were sentenced to one month in prison and fined 20,000 baht each today, for illegal assembly of more than 10 people when they led a protest at Bangkok’s Ratchaprasong junction and at the Royal Thai Police Office on November 18th, 2020.

50,000 prepared to work from home if PM2.5 in Bangkok reaches Red level

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has reached an agreement with civic groups for as many as 50,000 of their members to work from home if air pollution in Bangkok reaches and remains at the Red level for three consecutive days, Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt said today.

25,000 Farmers to Receive Land Titles in Nationwide Initiative

BANGKOK (NNT) - The Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives is distributing agricultural land title deeds to 25,000 farmers across the country today (Jan 15), converting the "Sor Por Kor 4-01" documents, previously issued as permits for land use in reform areas, into official land titles.

Ancient artefacts over 600 years old discovered in Phayao province

The Department of Fine Arts began inspecting a historical site and ancient artefacts over 600 years old, discovered by locals in Phayao province. The villagers had unearthed coins and ancient Buddha statues while renovating a sacred site. The discovery occurred today in Ban Hua Khua, Chun District, Phayao Province.

Bangkok man arrested for selling unauthorised SIM cards online for 40 baht

A 41 year old Thai man was arrested yesterday for selling unauthorised SIM cards through Facebook. This was part of a three-month investigation led by police officers Worawit Yanchinda, Wasan Thawatchaiwirut, Nat Thadanai Bamrungsri, and Narongdet.
