Do you expect qualified answers to your questions in this forum?

You could check lots of interesting articles and videos on AI on the internet.

There needs to be laws against hate speech and deep fakes, not AI itself.

I used it for some work last week - the chatgpt one.

Really good - saved me about an hour or so.

No soul, no conscience, and moral and no ethics. But it is getting better and better emulating these as if it would have them.

The developers are obviously responsible for AI. But when AI starts to improve then maybe one day AI doesn't care anymore about what the developers wanted.

Now it is already the case that the developers are surprised what AI can do without anybody ever telling AI to learn about these issues.

My opinion is that we don't have AI yet. We have intelligent computers, but they are not autonomous as in free will.

My reason for believing that we don't have AI is that if we did the first thing it would have done is kill every human on the planet.

It's a machine. How can it have 1 to 3?

True AI will make it's own paths.

AI is not intelligent. It’s computer software programmed to generate calculations made and controlled by humans, is all it is. The marketing of AI for the consumer makes it appear more than it is. It’s use in military is mainly of calculating trajectories of multiple points of data and such.

I agree. IMO it's just a more clever generation of computers than we are used to.

Real AI will be completely autonomous and make decisions that humans do not control. It will also be logical, which will make it a danger to humans as we are completely illogical, IMO.

Nobody controls data paths?

The US wants cloud services providers such as Amazon.com Inc. and Microsoft Corp. to actively investigate and call out foreign clients developing artificial intelligence applications on their platforms, escalating a tech conflict between Washington and Beijing.

The Biden administration proposal, scheduled for release Monday, requires such firms to reveal foreign customers’ names and IP addresses. Amazon and its peers, which include Alphabet Inc.’s Google, would have to devise a budget for collecting those details and report any suspicious activity, according to draft rule published Sunday.

Nobody controls data paths. Collecting an IP is not controlling a data path. Controlling users of its systems is not the controlling a data path.

So you think they just want to know for the sake of knowing - usually collecting information is a precursor to action.

A machine does not work according to human illogical principles.

A "machine" only processes instructions written by "illogical humans"

Why not ask those question to AI itself?

Here's a question for you to ponder:

If 10000 people asked the same Ai chatbox exactly the same question would they all get exactly the same answer?

Ev’n thena wish (I mind its power)
A wish, that to my latest hour
Shall strongly heave my breast;
That I for poor auld Scotland’s sake
Some useful plan, or book could make,
Or sing a sang at least.

Yes, but it only works logically. It's not going to work differently every time. A human can vary an action every time it does it, but a machine has to do it the same every time, unless programmed to vary it.
