Never a truer word spoken!

And, as for me, JS BACH never grows old.

I have been listening to JS BACH for almost six decades.

NEVER grows old...

And, just so very beautiful, no matter how many times I listen to the same piece.

Try the Toccata, is my advice, for one....

But....

BLAST it MAN!

BLAST AWAY with it!

As someone said on UTUBE:

Even the younger generation love Toccata too. They likely couldn't name the piece though. Timmy Trumpet performs it superbly as part of his EDM set for a younger crowd. Saw him at 808 festival last month in Bangkok. Amazing performer.

@GammaGlobulin As for blasting the blasted music; not in my condo but definitely in my car (Burmester sound system with 12 speakers and subwoofer) and also when walking with Soundcore Q20 bluetooth headphones. Favourites are Pink Floyd - all of Darkside and Comfortably Numb off the Wall. And EDM too 555. Picture from 06:00am last Thursday in Wachirabenchathat Park (Chatuchak).

So....

My hat is off to you for doing so.

(Were you drunk when you did so???????)

I mean, once you post your photo on TV....then....

You can never delete it.....

Bravo!

RIGHT!

So...THIS is just one reason I moved out of condo living.

Sometimes....I ....just....feel the need...to....

BLAST AWAY, BABY!!!!!!!!!!!

(CLEAR THE COBWEBS, so to speak!!!!!!!)

I really enjoy living in my rented condo, so the sacrifice was worth it. I used to blast a bit in my last place - a townhouse with no neighbours, but then a Thai woman moved next door and pretended to care about loud music. It's a bit strange - Thai people complaining about loud music in Pattaya, a stone's throw from Walking Street, hence my comment "pretended to care".

Back in my not-so-distant blasting days, I began to enjoy progressive house music turned up to a reasonable volume. A bit different from my early days with Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and so on...

Sunlight Project - La Marea

(have a listen - you might enjoy it too)

Baby, let's cruise....

If you want it, you got it....

AMERICA COULD HAVE BEEN....JUST ...  SO ....MUCH....

Great! (that you listened despite my opinion that you didn't).

I don't want to listen to your dreadful song as it came out 4 months after my father died in 1979. Music has a powerful link to the past.

Most of you guys, is my guess, just do not know how very great life was in the USA....

What happened?

Such a tragedy, really.

So sad, really.

The total destruction of The American Dream.

Ursinus College....

So Nice.

I and my Hong Kong wife used to make love on the lawns of Ursinus College....

Even during daylight hours....

I have special love for Ursinus College, understandably.....

This guy is not an American (Australian), but I do know things have changed quite a bit since I cruised 38 states of the USA between 1996 and 1998. It was an amazing place to visit, and I spent nearly a year there over the 3 years. I bought a Chevy Blazer and drove 25,000 miles from Key West for a full circuit of the country and back to Key West in 1996, from May to December. Best time I've ever had. Lots of cruising music was blasted LOL.

Interesting.

(True that I left America at age 27.  Still American, however, as far as I can tell....)

Note:  Please ask JT what I am....

Truth be told...

I miss America...

The way it used to be.

Most of you guys do not know what America once was....

Gladwyne, for example.

Or cruising from the East Coast to the West Coast in a new Chevy Impala, just off the showroom floor, 350 cubic inch,....pedal to the medal, at 110 MPH, and no worries ....

What ever happened to America, I do wonder!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm talking....like.....50 years ago, now....

Some of you know what I am talking about....

Life on The Main Line was just so wonderful.

So many memories that I have not thought about for decades....

Oh, well....

Water over the dam, and under the bridge....

Days never to return.

Making love in the grass...etc....when one could still see the stars, before the days that light pollution destroyed the experience....

And, just so much more....

am just sitting here wondering if you might, these days, be just too old to blast the blasting blasted music as you once enjoyed when you were a bit younger.

Sure, I listen to jazz all the time.

What?  You didn't listen to jazz when you were a teenager? 😄

No.

We didn't have jazz music in Philly when I was young.

One of the colleges in Ban Amphur has been "blasting" the music every evening for about the last 10 days. I live on the edge of Phoenix Golf Course and the drums and bass have been vibrating my walls and windows during that time. I was into loud music when I was young, but never with the bass at the level these people have it here. I reckon the locals feel like they're not getting their money's worth unless all the amp controls are set to "Max".

The only solution that I have found is to use good headphones, over the ear phones, and then listen to Herbert Von Karajan's Brandenburg.

This is a two-CD recording.

Plenty of bass from this recording, and enough to drown out almost anything you might come up against in Thailand, including monk chanting, temple drums, and almost anything.

There is no Thai music, and no Thai temple chanting, that can stand up to the Austro-Hungarian, H. von Karajan.
