Can anyone point me in the right direction for finding a pup? Pref. medium to large breed, good with children etc. We really like labradors but other family friendly breeds certainly of interest.

Would you consider taking a stray from the dog pound rather than a puppy?

Contact the Soi Dog foundation - or visit the mid-road dog shelter.

By taking a stray dog, you will be doing one small but important thing for the island.

Whatever you get - please get it neutered!

You could make a real difference in this dogs life and as previously mentioned Please spade or neuter your pets.

And if you dont have any luck at PAWS or Soi Dog I know of a cute soi dog in desperate need of a good home. He is a medium to large breed, less than 1 year old, pitch black with white socks and excellent temperament. I took his seriously ill brother home but honestly cannot take him as well as I already have 3 dogs and 6 cats at the house.

I am furious. I spent 1 hour extolling the virtues of my soy dog and upon pre-view, everything disappeared in cyber space. I am pissed, to say the least. God, do I hate computers

Sorry, I can't find the quote function in a reply. I'm moving on the weekend of Aug 5-6, and I would like to adopt a dog. This dog sounds nice. If he doesn't have a home by then, I'll take him.

He is still very much around. He comes to our shop for dinner every night. When you get settled in you can send me a PM for contact details. He really is a lovely dog!!
