When I moved to live in Thailand over twelve years ago I had been using Monocycline to prevent sub-dermal folliculitis (nasty pus filled abscesses in my skin), but cannot obtain it in Thailand. I tried Doxycycline but it made my skin subject to sunburn. Then I tried Tetracycline and it has worked well for all these years. No suddenly I can no longer find Tetracycline anywhere in Pattaya, and I have no idea why.

Does anyone know what has happened to the Tetracycline supply?

You can get it in Bangkok no problem ...I got some a few months ago for my Betta fish to treat fin rot.   I am sure it's in Pattaya somewhere ...

I have tried Fascino and many other pharmacies across Pattaya and suddenly no one stocks Tetracycline. I am confused about what is happening.

I have no idea, it is the first I am hearing of this. But we do seem to get periodic reports of different things being temporaily unavailable in Pattaya.

Suggest you try the various online pharmacies e.g. Medisafe (use the Messenger function, online search does nto work)

Tetracycline stains the teeth

Only if it is taken when teeth are developing, hence not recommended for pregnant women and children

Thankfully Fascino now has Tetracycline 500mgs back in stock. It appears to be a new supplier as the box is a different colour, but I am just grateful that I can access supplies again.
