Good catch, @HappyExpat57: It is AI clickbait. The writing style, word choice and manner of expression of the original post does not match the general run of posts from @SoCal1990. The original post brings up some good points, and explains clearly. So, yes, it is helpful. But it is AI talking, not real personal experience. If this forum ever appoints a "dog catcher" for "catching" AI posters, I'll nominate HappyExpat57 for the position. And now I'm going to add SoCal1990 to my ignore list. He seems to have some good ideas in his posts here, but anyone who hides behind AI without admitting it is AI, I simply don't want to read anything he offers. -

Russia’s economy is doomed
It’s the west that ever said it was a 2 week war and indeed it would have been (just one week actually) if Russia was only fighting Ukraine. Considering the incompetence of the Russian army and lack of weapons and ammunition, except for Chinese made shovels, Russia has done very well against the so called might of NATO. 3 years on, NATO hasn’t been able to drive the Russian fighters consisting of convicts and minorities out of Ukraine. Goes to show that NATO isn’t that mighty after all and all their wonder weapons have failed miserably. And oh yes, their economy is doomed, much like China’s economy has collapsed multiple times over the past 10 years… -

If he is not Thai tax resident, the picture changes, as it does if the gift is made overseas, but not using the parameters he has set on the op. -

Why some of us did not get COVID symptoms …even though we were exposed.
Why are there so many fat kids today compared to when we were kids? Nobody seems to want to change their diet and dog forbid they get up off their fat a$$es and go for a walk. But of course, doing it for the chillllllldren is the best way to try to shame us….so fat slobs here on the forum can continue on with their gluttonous lifestyles. I see them on the “where’s the best pizza” threads…or writing restaurant reviews on google…even during the pandemic. Or they’re on the health forum looking for that next pill/injection they can take in order to party on. Ozempic anybody? The people howling the loudest for us to get vaccinated for their protection were the people who didn’t take responsibility for their health in the past. This is the blowback for all the people who tried to force, shame and belittle us into taking a jab on their behalf. Own it.
