webfact
Concertgoers at Ed Sheeran’s recent performance in Bangkok were met with an unexpected disturbance emanating from the VIP section, leading to a heated debate across social media platforms. Amidst the furore, the leader of the Pheu Thai Party, Paetongtarn Shinawatra, addressed the issue today, staunchly denying involvement in the disruptive noise that prompted some audience members to leave the venue. The controversy at the Ed Sheeran concert sparked outrage as fans criticised the excessive noise from the VIP section, accusing patrons of disrupting the performance. Despite the uproar, no immediate action was taken to manage the situation, raising questions about concert etiquette and security measures. Paetongtarn commented on the drama. “A concert is a happy place, a place of joy. It’s normal for people, not just those in the VIP area, to make noise or sing along. A concert isn’t expected to be silent like a library. There’s a different etiquette for different places; it’s one thing if you’re at a temple, another if you’re at a concert.” by Puntid Tantivangphaisal File Photo: Wikimedia Full story: The Thaiger 2024-02-14 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. Popular Post JonnyF
No different to the way many Thai "VIP"s behave in restaurants, clubs, bars etc. They do what they want, and in my experience actually enjoy annoying other customers as a show of power. 1 1 1 1

ignore it
Concerts It's always something. If it ain't the weed, it's the rowdy VIPs. I stopped going to concerts after a dork sitting behind me at a Frank Zappa concert barfed up his shrooms. Popular Post clokwise
I went to a Michael Buble concert in BKK a few years ago. Paid good money for good floor seating as the wife is a huge fan. Once the show was underway I noticed all the hi-so Thais in the audience surrounding us were making a commotion. They were talking LOUDLY amongst themselves, carrying on conversations with their backs to the stage, pouring drinks for each other, taking photos of each other, one was livestreaming herself for the entire show, and everyone in this area were completely oblivious to the performance and the other audience members who were trying to enjoy the show. I recon they all got free tickets and had little or no idea who Micheal Buble is, they were just there to be seen by their peers. My wife commented we would have had a better experience up in the bleachers. Needless to say, we have not been to another concert in BKK since then. I don't live in BKK so I never encounter these hi-so people, but all I can draw from this experience was what horrible vile people they all were. 4 1

They are Pu-Yais, action cannot be taken against such special people. Still that it makes the news is a good sign. Usually this would be self censored by the Thai media. Then again it is likely because of the T mans kid it made the news at all. If it was a Generals daughter, a politician or rich families scion, they would kill the article, all to protect da sacred Pu-Yai. However the T man has enemies so his kids antics, and by extension, all those other Pu-Yais, cavorting in their VIP section, are fair game. YES!
