The OP says he already has a breadmaker, but finds it too much hassle to use it.

  • Why not just bake your own, it's not difficult? If you don't have an oven then buy a bread maker, they're not terribly expensive, simple to use and give decent results.

Sourdough and other speciality breads are time consuming, I'd much rather just go out and buy one...

As you have noticed, they're time-consuming to make, yet you balk at the prices being asked by the baker who has spent the extra time to make something you like but can't be arsed to make.

And Harry Bakery on the corner of Thappayra & Thaprasit is good for a take away.

A bit of an old thread, but

Gone right off Harry's last 3 I bought were not fresh, they say daily fresh but are not. Even if they have the days date on them

Need somewhere in the Jomtien/Pratumnak area for good healthy bread, anywhere new opened?

Continental Bakery has fresh bread, usually all sold on the day, any leftover are sold for lower price next day. Makro has a new range of healthy looking bread, not tried it yet

People never seem to rate it but Big-CX seems to turn out a lot of freshly baked items in the mornings.....

Long drive from Pattaya for a loaf of bread.... but am glad they sell on Lazada.

Up to a week for delivery though... I reckon that 7 day return policy gets a work out !

Its still Very very good.

It depends on how they make it, but I prefer freshly baked bread. Luckily Pattaya have several European bakeries.

The Danish one in Jomtien also make dark rye bread. You have to be there early before 11 AM or they are sold out.

This bread is not MAYBE the best bread in Thailand....Its IS the best bread in Thailand....

I thought I would give this bread the heads up one last time...

I hope every one will at least try this bread once......

Nope....I have bought bread from all the stores.....Even from O Delices Bakery in Jomtien.....And I have not found a better bread anywhere....Friendships bread would be the best of the bunch in my opinion...But still not near as good as the Hua Hin bread...

Come on you guys, you can't buy bread online.

Plumbing, electrical, sweet little Thai chick....yes, but not BREAD

Very cheap and low quality. I live across the street and will not go there anymore.

That's been my experience too, in that big shop on Thappraya and the smaller one on Sukhumvit not far from Lotus when he had it. Even when they claimed the bread was freshly baked it tasted stale to me. For sliced bread it's the Continental (and Villa also stocks their loaves); for soft rolls I like the Italian rolls and finger rolls from Siamburi's; and for crusty bread I usually get a Tabatiere loaf (unlike anything I ever had in France, lol, but good value and nice bread all the same) at 49 Baht or a baguette from Lotus. Big C has good bread too, but with the traffic on South Pattaya Road (the closest branch to my house) it's a pain to get back home from.
